I went a few months ago, but never got to writing a review, but I believe his name was Carlos, I had went in there for cut from and old barber. He had told me he didn't work there no more. So he said he could cut my hair, proceeded to tell me it was $40 (without tip for a simple trim on the sides). So we talk and I had told him I'd be back at 2, never mentioned he didn't do appointments so when I came back @ 2 he proceeded to tell me that it could be another hour to an hour and a half. If he would have been upright with me from the jump and told me he doesn't take appointments, I would have went somewhere else to begin with. read more

Never going anywhere else , if you want to find you every weekend barber shop , holla at my brother from another mother Javier / Javi / Suave / The Barber i go to / You Wont Go no Where Else ! I travel about 25-30 min out of my way to go to get my hair cut , if i get my hair cut from someone else with out telling my wife she knows right away i didnt go to Javi . I go places and people ask me where i get my fade from and its always Gentlemen's ! You can go to anyone you want any chair will leave you loving your cut . Id put my hair on it ! read more

Moved here from Yuma back in April 2021, went to several other places downtown area... trial and error is all I can say, was referred to Gentleman's Corner from a colleague at work. Carlos the owner has been cutting my hair ever since, Carlos does an amazing job, with great conversation so you put them both together you get an AMAZING BARBER!! 5 stars is not enough! I can't even begin to explain how much I appreciate GCBP. I started coming here in 2013 maybe 2014. Through the years my hair has been cut by mostly Javi or Alex and I always walk out feeling like a brand new person. The haircuts are not the fastest but they take their time on the details and ensure perfection every time. I have had high fades, low fades and undercuts have never left with disappointment even though I have difficult very thin blonde white boy hair. After moving to Phoenix last year I have bounced around to several Barbershops who all seem to rush through the haircuts and turn chairs as fast as they can sacrificing quality for the same if not more expensive price. I still have yet to find a spot up here that Rivals GCBP and I will most definitely return every time I come to Tucson. When I first started coming here I would just walk in to get a haircut. But now as they have built up a reputation for themselves and have become busier I would recommend making an appointment to avoid longer waits. On a separate note many other barbershops seem to have new barbers every week. GCBP has had the same core group of Barbers perfecting their craft and reputation since they opened. I appreciate this and it shows that they really do care and manage their business well. read more

I was a new client today, barber moved away had to start looking for a new one, thought this would be a good place since a friend recommended Carlos. Right from the beginning I had a terrible experience. It's Az, it's hot. He made a huge deal about me sweating and claimed his clippers wouldn't work well on wet hair. He started drying me off with their blow dryer and I noticed he was RECORDING it and laughing. As the haircut went on, I realized he was rushing. Didn't put shaving cream on before using the straight razor, and then was very surprised when I started bleeding profusely on my neck. Later he started wrapping up and putting gel in my hair, and I realized he didn't trim the top. When I asked him to, he made a comment about my hair being too thin and continued to say he doesn't usually cut peoples hair that is as thin as mine. When I asked about the recording at the end of the cut, he brushed it off and claimed he only sent it to one person. Overall, I was uncomfortable from beginning to end at this barber shop, especially with the owner/barber Carlos. Recording clients, making comments and rushing through a service someone paid for is not a good look for your business, or for your "19 years of experience". read more

I have visited this neighbourhood barber shop a number of times, and each time I left, pleased with the experience. On each of my visits, I have received a great haircut.. from several different barbers; they have always been friendly, skillful and clearly experienced. The atmosphere is casual, comfortable, clean and, tidy. Often busy, I sometimes have to wait a bit... as this little, but popular shop has a loyal following. Moreover, the barbers here, take their time with each client, and are attentive to detail. Adults, kids, men and women will get a great cut in a friendly, relaxing environment. This is, far and away, the best haircut I've ever received. For the last decade, I've been giving my money to whatever recent beauty school grad SportClips or SuperCuts just hired, and I've come to believe that it's just something about my own hair that was making these cuts all look like ass. No... I just wasn't seeing the right people turns out. These men are professionals, and they do the damn job RIGHT. I'm sure they all do solid work, but go see Leo.
