We had a 10 year old dog named Maggie, she was the best and sweetest pup. She seemed to be in great shape, but had to take her to the emergency vet a couple of nights before Christmas. She had two tumors, one was very large and bleeding. We really had no options aside from either putting her through a lot of pain for maybe a couple of months at best. We decided to bring her home and have a good night and next day. We contacted GPP after getting several recommendations. They were able to schedule a time within the period we knew we had with Maggie, and Dr. Emily Howard came out to put her to sleep. Saying goodbye to Mags was so hard, heartbreaking really, but using this in home service and Dr. Howard to help us through it was a blessing. Dr. Emily was so respectful of our feelings, she was very quiet and sweet. She talked very briefly about what to expect at every step of the time she was there, and left the room a couple of times to give us time with Maggie. She checked her vital signs throughout, and after some time once Maggie had passed we helped Dr. Emily wrap Maggie in a soft blanket stretcher and carried her together. We chose to have Mags cremated privately and will sprinkle her ashes on our property. Gentle Pet Passages and Dr. Howard took care of the transportation for that part of the care, and the remains will be taken to our vet for us to pick up. Aside from loving our pup for what remaining time we had, we didn't have to think or worry about anything. I highly recommend this service. Thanks Dr. Howard.

My goodness- words cannot express the compassionate heart Dr Killian extended to my family as we said goodbye to our dog. He made the hardest moment just a little bit lighter. I would highly recommend Dr Killian.

Too hard for me to write this review. But I highly recommend Dr. Killian and thank him for coming to our home on such short notice. Rest In Peace my sweet Daisy . Thank you Dr. Killian for your professionalism and patience.

Dr. Killian helped us say goodbye to our 11 year old Lab in the best way possible - in the comfort of our home, surrounded by his family, and eating endless treats that Dr. Killian brought with him. I really appreciated his quick and clear communication, his gentle and compassionate demeanor, and his flexibility, as we had to last minute reschedule our appt when our pup made a sudden decline. Dr. Killian truly loves animals and what he does. I will forever be referring him to anyone who thinks it might be time to say goodbye to their fur babies. Thank you, Dr. Killian!

My 12 year old cat Bandito was diagnosed cancer, and my family and I knew the time was near. I didn't want to stress Bandito out with being euthanized at a vet's office. Car rides were starting to get traumatic for Bandito, and he knew he was going to the vet's office. I called Gentle Pet Passages and scheduled, then rescheduled, my appointments at least twice. The people I spoke to were understanding each time and I can tell in their soft spoken voices that they were sorry for what we were going through. Dr. Killian came to my home. He was compassionate, kind, and respectful throughout the entire process. He took the time to get to know my cat to make him as comfortable as he can be. He explained what to expect throughout the process. He made this difficult moment into a peaceful experience. He allowed us to spend as much time as we wanted to say goodbye. We opted for cremation, so Dr. Killian gently placed my cat into a basket wrapped in a blanket. I highly recommend Gentle Pet Passages for in-home euthanasia. Dr. Killian is also military and offers a discount for first responders and military familes. I'll be calling Gentle Pet Passages for any future needs for my family.

He is an amazing business owner and veterinarian and I would recommend him to anybody looking for care for their animals. Although I was very disappointed with the last few visits I have been at his clinic, that is not the way things are normally handled and I appreciate him giving me a call and speaking to me personally. 5 stars for Dr. Youssef and his professionalism! No wonder he was able to expand his business and open a kennel service across the street!

I got the call from Dr. Pittman and they were both professional and apologetic for the delay. I did receive the notes as requested and results we were waiting on. I brought my dog in since our regular vet was closed on weekends. It cost $250 to explore the wound. Once Dr. Pittman "explored" the wound and remove out two small "masses" she didn't know what it was or wasn't confident about next steps. We came back 3 days later for wound check and we noticed my dog had something similar on another paw and she removed that as well but this time sent it for testing. Also my pet insurance has requested visit notes and records to process my claim and I have even tried calling to have them send the notes needed and they still have not sent anything. When I called the receptionist states she has submitted the request and once notes are ready they will send it. Why does visit notes take over a week to do and send? Overall, I think this place makes it very inconvenient for owners as they are not responsive with requests.

From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was incredibly kind, patient, and compassionate during such a stressful time. Dr. Plouffe and Phoenix were especially wonderful--they treated Coco with such gentleness and genuine concern, and they took the time to make sure I felt informed and supported every step of the way. It's clear they truly care about both their patients and their owners. They ran test on her and said she was in congestive heart failure but they never said her life was at risk or was there any mention of any urgency to take her to an ER. Instead a $100 bottle of pills that she needed to take for the rest of her life and $500+ bill later she was sent home. Once again they never said anything about this being an emergency and then the next day our baby DIED AND I BLAME THEM!! So that next day we spent $600 to cremate our baby instead of $600 to try to save her life. I dnt know why our dog didn't get 4..7 star treatment but I give them ZERO STARS

Note that one of them was out of the office and I had to call to ask for another doctor to return my call with results. The pricing is about the same as other practices yet a little less than those under larger practice umbrellas. Their website makes it easy to schedule appointments for the first doctor available. This is our regular vet. Despite explaining the urgency of the situation, Dr. Halberg refused to see my dog due to a "staffing shortage." Again, this is my regular vet and I was there when the doors opened at 8:00am on Saturday. No triage, no brief assessment, no effort to determine whether this was an emergency -- just a refusal of care. I completely understand staffing challenges, but when a current customer presents with a pet showing serious neurological distress, I believe there is a professional obligation to at least evaluate the situation or help coordinate immediate care elsewhere. Furthermore, when I asked the front desk clerk to write the address of the Emergency Vet Hospital they recommend, she sent me to a HUMAN emergency clinic. Unbelievable. This was an incredibly disappointing and stressful experience, and it has significantly impacted my trust in this practice.

I have been seeing Dr. Kirby since 1997. I happened to go on line to look at the hours of business…read moreand somehow ended up on the reviews page & I was mortified at what some people wrote. Dr. Kirby works all day every day and treats emergencies and performs surgeries all while striving to care at least 30 plus patients a day. He's the only vet in his clinic because of his high standards of patient care. Some vets don't want to work Saturday's much less check in on their patients on Sundays and in the evenings after a long day, or make follow up phone calls, and that's something Dr. Kirby expects from vets working for him, because that's what he does and has done for decades. I'm not one to ever write reviews, or even post anything as I'm one of those rare people without any social media presence, but I felt compelled to do so today. There are so many clinics in our city who won't even see your family member without putting down a credit card and charging you a large amount before your even seen, with the notion you will get credit if the entire $1,500 you put down/charged isn't used. That's not the case here. Not now or ever has been. And if you absolutely have to sometimes you can work out a payment plan. Maybe receptionist don't meet everyone's standards but, it's not easy doing that kind of work when your tired and trying to please everyone who thinks their the only important patient. I have colleagues that drive all the way from Stone Oak and beyond to see him. He's the only doctor in the clinic most of the time because his other long time colleague is semiretired and not very healthy, so patient drop off is the only way he can attend everyone. The techs that work there have been there for 10 plus years because at the very end of the day grumpy or not Dr. Kirby cares about his employees and didn't let anyone go during the hard days of Covid. If you didn't receive enough time or attention please call and state your grievances but don't sully the reputation of a good, honest, hardworking veterinarian.
