The preacher had a great message, and overall, I really liked him. The worship team was very talented, although I didn't think the song choices were the best. There wasn't much interaction between the members of the church. It didn't really appear that people knew each other or talked to one another, which made the environment feel less inviting. Nothing bad happened, and everyone was friendly enough, but I just didn't get the sense of community I was looking for. Overall, it was a decent church, but I'll continue looking to find one that feels like a better fit for me.

The lobby area is tighter than the UA campus, but it's good because greeters are more apt to see you and talk to you. They seem to be much nicer here. They were selling apparel in the lobby, so I had to take a look. Got myself a windbreaker to rep the church. I recognize a lot more faces at this campus. It was nice. Service was great. The singers on stage were also good. Seems like more undergrads tend to be at this campus since it's close by. You can sit upstairs in the balcony or downstairs. The space is smaller than UA, but it's a good size since UA has more people. They have Wednesday and Sunday night services too. We were at the 10:45am service and it was still filled with lots of people. I saw a few families, older people, and definitely some students. Parking is tricky. Since I volunteer here on occasion, I know to drive through into the second spot. Otherwise, wait a while before leaving. Would love to come back again though! I enjoyed the energy on stage. The high ceilings also made the space feel a bit more open. They're made of wood. I felt close to nature. Lol.

But it was a different feel- not like they were checking off a list of things they do and ask visitors, they were just friendly people, literally like talking to a neighbor, and that was nice. Good worship music, a diverse audience in ethnicity and age, and there was a genuine vibe that the people attending were really having a good time. No Sunday morning sour faces that I could see (and I grew up a back row Baptist LOL). They had all the things you look for in a church these days: solid website, started on time (10am), BACKGROUND CHECKS on children's workers (+1) and a challenging message that I'm still thinking about. They have small groups in 3 semesters through the year, an active youth group and a very friendly couple leading the church. Plenty of parking and the messages are also online if you want to check them out ahead of time (I did). Nice to know that there's a church like this right in my community!
