The boyfriend and I wanted to go jet skiing while we were in Geneva. We did a Google search and…read morefound this place. The address took us to the Geneva state park marina, so we walked into their main office to inquire about our jet ski reservation. They told us to go to the first dock. Basically the company can't post signs because it is located in a state park, so that just made it a little tricky to find. We were greeted by a really nice man (I can't remember his name!). We took a temporary boating license exam (Ohio law), which only took like 10 minutes and then we were on the jet ski. He explained to us all of the basic things and what to do in certain situations. My boyfriend had rode a jet ski a few times before so he felt prepared. The one thing that we weren't prepared for was the difference between riding a jet ski on a bay compared to a lake with bigger waves. If you have only rode on a bay before, be prepared for the difference. We had an hour on the jet ski and had a great time. We rented the smallest jet ski that could fit three people and it was great but also was a little hard to control. If we came back, we would go for the bigger one that gives you more control. Overall we had an amazing time! Returning customers get a discount, which is great! If we were visiting Geneva for a longer amount of time we would have definitely gone back.

Buckeye Sports Center - Shame on you!!!…read more Saturday of last week I went to Buckeye Sports Center to pickup my skis that were being tuned and to pickup another set of older skis that I attempted to sell at their annual ski swap. My older skis did not sell and I needed to pick them up. I was late picking up my skis as a result of my Father's illness, death and funeral. Buckeye Sports Center informed me that because I was late picking up my skis from the ski swap that I was not entitled to the return of my skis or the 200 dollars that I was attempting to sell them for (for which I was to receive store credit). Please note that Buckeye Sports still had plenty of other skis in back remaining to be picked up, they just for a very odd reason did not have my skis. I gave my return ticket to the store clerk and he stated that their records indicated that someone had already picked up my skis. My response was, "well clearly you gave my skis to the wrong person." The clerk responded, "how do we know that" - implying that I was lying to him. Please note that I have been a customer of Buckeye Sports for several decades and as recently had 4 pairs of skis tuned by them. I asked the clerk to review the situation with the owner of Buckeye Sports who was in back and he did. The owner did not have the respect, nor the character, to speak directly with me and instructed the clerk to tell me that there was nothing ownership was willing to do. Thereby callously disregarding why I was late picking up the skis and completely ignoring the fact that the reason why the skis were not there was because his employees made a mistake and gave my skis to another customer who had similar skis. Mistakes happen, but there is no excuse for Buckeye Sports' poor treatment of me as their customer and unwillingness to correct the mistake that was made by their staff member. Needless to say, I will never shop at Buckeye Sports. Their actions yesterday demonstrate bad business practices and even worse business ethics.

They put a lot of time, attention, and detail into prepping my boat so it would be water ready. They worked with me to get all the features on the boat that met my needs. VIP Treatment with the boat pickup as they were flexible with scheduling, had a congratulations sign, everyone walking on the boat took their shoes off, they consistently offered drinks/restroom, their service guys came out to answer technical questions, and they highlighted critically important parts of the manual so I may quickly revisit for review as a lot of information was covered during pick up. They don't just want to sell you, but they want to make sure you are set up for success, you are safe, and you have an all around great experience on the water and with Buckeye. Customer oriented all around. Would recommend anyone give Buckeye the first stop before looking elsewhere.

Then, I called again when we were getting ready to leave and spoke to a woman who confirmed she got my message and was looking forward to our arrival. When we got there, the livery was gated off in both directions so I called again and was told they only take reservations. I expressed my confusion because I believed we had reservation per the conversation I had with the woman before we left. She replied that she didn't want to ruin my day by saying they were booked because it was such a nice day and we should be out enjoying the water. She said she didn't want to deter us because there was a place "just down the road" that we could rent from. The place "down the road" was 20 minutes away and also did not have rentals available. We then drove 30 minutes back home to load up our personal kayaks that we initially didn't want to be bothered with because we wanted to take just a short trip down the river. Long story short, it was past 3 by the time we were on the river and we ended up stuck in the thunderstorm that we were trying to avoid. I have rented from this place in the past with no issues but am completely confounded by the woman who lied to me yesterday and lured me to Ashtabula to only waste my time. I was there when they took it back a part. Not only did Marine Worx forget to put back in several parts(three berings) they also put one part in upside down (the shift cam) and did not notice that the "clutch dog" was cracked in half. I had to have the lower unit rebuilt one more time and lost my two week fishing vacation in the process. I called Kevin and asked him to make it right. He said he didn't believe me. I tried to get him to call the dealer here but he refused. He said people try to screw him over all the time by calling him after a job, complaining and wanting their money back.
