So I take every opportunity to self-enroll in such things as Internet service, a checking account, or utility bills - rather than having to dictate my information to someone who can only spell my name when I say it phonetically, "D; A; N; I; E; L, as in LISTEN you idiot!". But when it came to home-buying, I set my impatience aside, and let the professionals at Pioneer Title Company handle all of the paperwork. And, let's be honest, I'm too impatient even to learn property law to sufficiently close a real estate deal. Pioneer Title was my realtor's title company of choice. And a good choice it was. Pioneer was highly organized and efficient - at closing, a stack of forms a half-ream of paper high were arranged in order and prepared for the specified party to sign. Unfortunately, Pioneer's residential real estate specialist was out the day of my closing, so I was assigned to their commercial real estate specialist. As such, she could only provide a very shallow explanation of what I was signing - I had to lean on my realtor and mortgage broker to answer questions about the paperwork. Later, Pioneer Title never sent the ownership change to my homeowners' association. Yet, despite these minor issues, Pioneer Title facilitated a clean, efficient home purchase for me. Never once did they make me want to tear my hair out, nor did they ever make me want to swipe the pen from their hands and do it all myself.

At some point I got ahold of the escrow agent's "assistant" who never sent me the info. I requested. Every time we were promised a call or return email, it never happened. I contacted my realtor who was finally able to get a response. Unfortunately, I am the seller and this was the buyer's choice of title company. I never would have chosen this office. Buying or selling a home is stressful enough without having to follow up with your title company. Based on these behaviors, it would appear that PTC has little regard for their customers.

The next day Tuesday, we met Jessica who was on time and showed us every area in Ada County we could afford and met all of our parameters in only 2 1/2 hours. I immediately told her she was going to be our agent. Jessica set me up with the MLS back home so I could see what was available, but unfortunately life happened, along with Covid and we didn't sell the house until September of 2020. Yet Jessica stuck with us, and answered every questioned. Once we got to Boise, Jessica was ready to start helping us find our new home. Of course during that time when homes were selling like crazy, we were being outbid. But one Saturday night at 10:30pm I had seen a new home on the internet. I called Jessica, and said we would like to see this house tomorrow morning, and she immediatly set it up. We looked at the home and bought it right away, and Jessica took care of all the paperwork with the builder, title company and even suggested a loan officer who gave us a great rate on our mortgage.
