Great place to come and learn jiu jitsu. Instructors are patient and willing to take the time in order for you to learn. Jiu jitsu is a great workout and you learn self defense at the same time. Coach Clint has been teaching for many years and is very knowledgeable about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. read more

Genesis Martial Arts has created a fun, educational training environment where students can improve their physical and mental capabilities through the practice of martial arts! Our goal is to give students more self-confidence, self-control, and better health. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique, most notably by applying joint-locks and chokes to defeat the opponent. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the most effective self-defense martial art in the world and is great for kids, teens, and women. We offer classes in Brazilian Jiu JItsu, Karate, Judo and MMA. Established in 2007.

Our dojo started as a karate and judo school. we soon added Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to round out our self-defense curriculum.

Sure the price can't be beat, but be prepared to travel to Texas for all but one tournament if your…read morestudent wants to compete. The only Louisiana tournament this group participates in is the one they host. Which is a weird practice for a dojo offering free classes. Free classes are great and on the surface it seems awesome but be prepared for class structure and standards to be inconsistent. Again a great price but watch for sporadic moments of bullying from the teacher such as public humiliation and throwing books. Also expect that you will be labeled as the problem if you speak up about any of it. Good price but they are uninsured. If this place is good for you great! We wanted to love it, we made friends, got involved, only to be labeled as the bad guy when we took issue with a grown man bullying children in the guise of teaching discipline.

Best martial arts school in town. From someone who has practiced upwards of 5 different martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the most applicable and most fun martial art I have encountered. Very good children's class and adult classes. Coach is the highest ranking BJJ coach in the area. You will leant something your first day and will become hooked soon after. read more

Great coaches, great facilities. This is far more than a gym, this is a family. I started in October and they welcomed me in with open arms from the very beginning. No one makes you feel bad about having little (or in my case no) experience or skill. Everyone tries to help you as much as possible. read more
