I have waited four months to write this review, praying for my 18-year-old daughter's recovery. If you are considering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) at this clinic, please read our nightmare before risking yours or your child's life. The Incidents and Medical Neglect: On February 9, we arrived hopeful for the weeklong SAINT protocol to treat my daughter's depression. After just two sessions, she developed an excruciating migraine and debilitating, terrifying dissociation--symptoms she had never experienced in her life. Dr. Muhammad dismissed our panic, claiming it was a "TMS dip" and told us to push through 8 more agonizing sessions that day. (Note: True TMS dips do not happen after two sessions). We trusted him. That was our biggest mistake.The next day, my daughter could barely lift her head. When we returned to the clinic, Dr. Muhammad was completely missing from the site. Instead of a doctor, we were forced to rely on a receptionist (Jen) who brushed off our terror with empty catchphrases ("I gotcha, I'll take care of it") she did neither of these things. She and Dr. Mohammed are heartless. so we had to rely on a fresh college graduate technician with a liberal arts degree to help us figure out how to proceed. Under their direction, my daughter underwent three more sessions on February 10th. By the third, she was curled in a fetal position in absolute physical and mental agony. She was suffering from memory lapses, loss of coordination, and a severe psychological crisis: she literally could not tell if she or those around her were alive. Dr. Muhammad was still unavailable. We had to pull a completely random neurologist from the hallway to intervene. The Aftermath and Financial Ruin: when Dr. Muhammad finally called, his response was cold and dismissive: "Just stop. It's obviously not working." When we explained that he his procedure had altered our daughter's brain and she was no longer the same person, he actively gaslit us, falsely claiming she had these symptoms before arriving.The damage done by those 13 sessions has ruined our lives. For the first two months, my daughter lived in a dark room, unable to eat, walk straight, or function. Four months later, we are still fighting a brutal uphill battle against a severe TMS Brain Injury. She now suffers 24/7 from: Debilitating dissociation and depersonalization, chronic migraines with extreme light and sound sensitivity, memory loss, vertigo, TMJ and neck pain. We have spent $50,000 out of pocket trying to reverse this damage. I know that you are busy, but I am contacting medicare, medi cal and the state board because 2 and a half months is a long time to go without knowing a patients condition. Since my husband and all the other patients you see pay for the privilege of being supposedly ministered by you, I find it hard to fathom your conplete disregard for your patients welfare. The physicians she was stuck with and their offices either didn't bother to return calls or would wait until her condition deteriorated, then say she should go to the hospital (which is kinda the opposite of the point of home care). I decided that if I was already going to be working with San Diego Docs for my mom's care, I might as well add myself and give it a try.... It's amazing the feeling you get when you call their number and one of them answers. Or when you text and a human sends you a real response! You actually feel like a real individual patient again. Both Drs. Fam are knowledgeable and personable, it's refreshing to not have physicians act as though you are just another appointment to slog through and check off boxes. I had been in the habit of waiting and putting off seeing my previous GP before because of how dismissive they all were, so I am still getting used to the idea that if there's an issue with my meds feeling less effective or if I need a refill, I can text, email, or call and not only get a quick response but also not feel like I am an inconvenience. After seven years in San Diego, I finally found the "medical unicorn" of caring, competent, and personable family physicians. It's now been five months and I really cannot recommend San Diego Docs enough.

He is definitely reaching the later stages of his career but I can tell that he really enjoys what he does and is still as sharp as anyone in the business. I always enjoy having a conversation with him not only about my health but just really about whatever we happen to talk about. I really respect his opinions and advice both medically speaking and just in general. For my past 2 visits, I saw Dr McFeeters who, I think, is also great at what he does. Like Dr Kaleen, he is also very personable and does a great job of explaining what he means. He also includes a personal touch so you can understand where he is coming from. At my last visit, Dr McFeeters realized that I needed some emergency care and was able to get me an appointment to get a CT scan and an appointment with the appropriate specialist that day. I did not realize that my condition was as serious as it was and he was able to to get me the important care I needed that very day! Can't say enough good things about these guys and I'm sure I will continue to visit their office for years to come.

I write down my questions before the appointment to insure I get my questions and concerns answered. Dr. Rathbun always answers my questions in plain laymen terms. I never feel rushed during our appt. The "Follow My Health" portal is terrific. I can email Dr. Rathbun and get a rapid response to my questions. He has also called me as late as 8:00pm after my appt. to follow up on my progress!! A really gentle, caring person that makes you feel you are in the best of hands. This is the way healthcare should be.

I saw Dr Bench for an inguinal hernia repair. The hernia was small but causing me pain and kept me…read morefrom playing with my kids and exercising. At our consultation, Dr Bench said we could wait on the repair but suggested that having surgery would allow me to get back to my active life without pain. The day of surgery was phenomenal. The nurses were so kind and helpful and Dr Bench was there to set my mind at ease as well. It felt kind of like a spa. When I woke up, there was a bit of pain but they got me out of the hospital quickly and home to rest. Recovery had ups and downs. The first four weeks went as expected and I was feeling all better. But I seemed to have aggravated the mesh site soon after my initial followup. This resulted in a cycle where I'd feel better, then go on a bike ride or do some gardening and I'd have a week of pain... back and forth. Dr Bench was gracious throughout. Even 5 months later when I was still getting pain, he assured me the repair was "solid" and explained that things were still healing. Apparently, I'm a slow healer. Now it's almost seven months after my surgery and I feel like my old life is back. I'm throwing my kids around, digging holes in my garden, and working out again. Thanks Dr Bench and team! Even though recovery was a bit rocky, I'm so thankful for your professionalism, expertise, and empathy.

The moment you get off the elevator, you will be greeted with a smile from the staff and each time we come here, we don't have to approach the staff coz they welcome us right away and assists us in a very friendly and professional way. Me and my husband are so grateful that we switched to Dr Arvin Saluta as our Primary Physician ( That includes our 2 sons ) He is the best Doctor we ever had, he is always there for us, and is so caring. Dr Saluta, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for finding time in your busy schedule to see us, and call us to discuss our illness, our lab results, and medication, and making sure that our questions and concerns are all answered. You treat us as if we are a family, you care and we feel your kindness. and concern. there were numerous occasions that Dr Saluta finds time to see us urgently w/o appointment, thanks to his staff, RN Genie ( I am not sure if I spelled her name correctly ) but she is awesome, she returns calls so promptly and is very knowledgeable and caring. We don't mind driving from Mira Mesa where we live to Downtown San Diego for our Doctor appointments ( also lab and X-rays) because it is like going to Disneyland to visit our Doctor :) it is worth the drive !
