Pastor Laurel is kind and gracious as she redirects my outgoing daughter. Pastor Laurel is always ready with a smile and hug for the kids. It's evident that one of the missions of Claremont United Church of Christ is to learn everyone's names. Within two weeks of attending both Pastors Jen and Jacob addressed my family by name. Pastors Jen and Jacob are both very approachable and are dripping with empathy and compassion. The sermons are always insightful and entertaining, it's amazing to see the personalities of these two beautiful people shine through from the pulpit. If you can imagine your safe place, a place that provides you with smiles, wisdom, and acceptance no matter what stage of life you are experiencing. That would look very similar to attending Claremont United Church of Christ. I absolutely love that our congregation prides itself on accepting everyone. Even more importantly I constantly see Claremont United Church of Christ reaching out to our community both in a spiritual and practical way. Never have I ever experienced such kindness, such love, and such welcoming from a church. To be honest, I was raised Catholic and never felt the connection with any of the churches that I attended. I then started to explore other churches. It took me years to come upon this gem, and I am so grateful. You just need to try this church a few times to see what I mean. First, they are very welcoming and very honest in a way that I have never heard nor been a part of. No one is there trying to "sell, coerce, you", They don't need to, they are just grateful to be part of your world for an hour. They serve God, they serve their brothers and sisters and their community. If you want to feel good about your life and feel good that you have a family in a community that has integrity, character, loyalty, honesty, and is Truly Helpful in Helping the people in the church come together with kindness, with love and mainly offering you answers and understanding, please come see the difference in this church, I can vouch that you will feel welcomed, understood, and have a positive experience in faith. I have listened to many Pastors, Preachers, Evangelists, Self Help Guru's, Counselors, Motivational Speakers, You Name it, I have never received clearer and more concise information in relating the Bible to Today's average person and their life as it is.
