They also have tons of TVs playing all the games, and will play your team if you ask. Dined here twice. Had wings, chicken tender sandwich, salad, fries, and bosco sticks. I didn't love the O-Cay sauce wings but the bartender was happy to swap them for the chicken sandwich, which I appreciated. Salad was fresh and huge. The dry rub wings were good, but overcooked and dry. Bosco sticks are breadsticks stuffed with mozzarella cheese, they're huge and tasty. I couldn't even finish one. Cocktails were basic with a good beer selection. A double bourbon costs $12. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

She took our order, then it took over 20 minutes to get our food AND our drinks, and drinks were forgotten and we weren't given straws. When our food arrived, we weren't given silverware, and only then could we ask for the things that were forgotten. We watched her go to other tables around ours and check on them and clear their tables as well. I'm not sure if this part is normal-- but when we got our checks, we weren't given any sort of writing utensil to fill out the merchant copy of the receipts. Overall, I would not recommend coming here if you expect to have decent service

All in all, Brickhouse was a perfectly fine dining experience with somewhat unique bar-type food.

It turns out we arrived just at closing time (7pm), but Eva insisted on serving us and having us dine in rather than taking our food to-go. The pizza we ordered was wonderful and I would welcome a trip back there again to try other things from the menu. We were the last ones in the restaurant and Eva was so nice, to the point that she sat chatting with us into the evening, as if we were old friends who had paid her a visit. What an incredibly friendly and interesting woman she is! On the way home we talked about what an enjoyable evening it had been and how glad we were to have gone. "Wow, can you believe THAT?" was actually spoken by my friend, referring to Eva's incredible hospitality and easy conversation. We consider ourselves lucky to have arrived just in the nick of time before the door was locked, and went away feeling like we'd made a new friend. It's a bit of a drive if you're from Winnipeg, but if you feel up to a little road trip I would highly recommend heading out to Vita and stopping in at Eva's. My friend and I will definitely make a point of going back.
