I had a cracked tooth so they seen me same day. Dentist said it's beyond saving and needs to be removed. He is talking bone graft and implant request to VA. Sent me away said they don't have an approval. called me next day said they should not have sent me away in pain. VA was ok with extraction that day but dentist was a part time dumbass and sent me home in pain. So I just found another provider from the VA. You don't get to send me home and then say oops! I have pain and it's more than the tooth it's called compassion and reality. I don't have time for dumbasses that don't care. I even offered cash but it wasn't enough . I'm filing a complaint with VA hopefully they loose they cash cow. Veterans deserve better than dumb dentist that want to sell implants before they even get the problem taken care of . read more

Billing practices are rather questionable, and accompanied by their lack of customer service skills and ability to go the extra 10% needed for a customer, creates an atmosphere far worse then worrying about your next dental procedure. I typically do not struggle with teeth issues, however, I have a bad toothache. Their website acknowledges the "emergency care" offers for tooth aches, etc. I scheduled an app, and the earliest was several weeks out. They told me to call daily to check for cancellations. I called, and then mentioned what was listed on the website, and they told me to go to the urgent care center, and completely disregarded what is listed on their website. read more

Generations Family Dentistry located in Radcliff, KY is exceptional. Their staff is amazing as well as Dr. Harp, very professional and assists with all needs to include dental anxiety. My only complaint is their policies in reference to insurance. They inform their clients that several procedures aren't covered by insurance and must be paid out of pocket. Once communicating with insurance I was told that several procedures are covered at 80% via insurance. Something should be done about this because they are providing false information to their patients and then requiring them to pay upfront cost prior to the complete processing of insurance. read more

Update: Don't waste your time showing up for an appointment you may or may not have. After making an appointment months in advance, the office cancelled my appointment the day of service without letting me know. They said that there was a change in policy requiring patients to confirm their appointment and without the confirmation, they cancel appointments. Then once I asked why the policy wasn't communicated, they said actually, they had been calling to see if I could move my appointment since they had several employees out with COVID. Again, I asked why they didn't communicate that via my voicemail or email, both of which they have. No real answers, just an "I'm sorry, do you want me to reschedule you?" and an eyeroll from the office manager. No thanks, I don't want to leave work early and drive out of my way to waste my time again. read more

My teeth were in rough shape. Bad enough that I felt my best option was to go with full implants. I began researching and pricing implants. I read about the "same day" places and the trips to Mexico/elsewhere where you could (ostensibly) "save thousands of dollars". I learned about the snap in resin dentures and the others made of superior quality such as the zirconium. I decided to go ahead and do a free consult with Dr. Greenwell. He was straight forward, honest, and friendly. No judgement or hard sell. He laid it out, told me what was entailed and let me make up my own mind. Here's the truth about getting full implants. It's NOT a simple "wham bam couple of visits and you're a movie star" kind of ordeal. It involves serious dental surgery, sedation (if done right) and multiple visits during the healing process to ensure everything is right. The temporary dentures you'll wear while your implants heal and cure with the bone are made of resin. They can crack and break. If you go somewhere other than local, what then? Mine cracked (no fault of Generations) I called and they immediately replaced them. No questions asked. That sounds like no big deal. It IS a big deal because if they didn't have the staff and equipment to make the replacements immediately, it would be a problem. Dr. Greenwell knows his craft and he knows it well. His office has the equipment and technology to ensure things get done right the first time. From the imaging equipment used -- to the ability to 3D print the temporary dentures -- from the amazing staff (huge shout out and kudos to Ashley) to the sincere care and concern, it was a very professional and surprisingly pleasant overall experience. Regardless of where you go, full implants, the good ones -- are not cheap. One huge consideration is what would you do if you encountered any issues? I had a few small issues and they were immediately attended to. The price is actually better than many others and the quality and care during the entire ordeal is difficult to put a price on. I absolutely recommend Dr. Greenwell and his entire staff. For the first time in 58 years, I have a smile that I'm not ashamed of. It's a wonderful feeling to be able to flash an actual smile. Do not go to Generations Family Dentistry. They know that my husband is a combat veteran and has PTSD and treated him disrespectfully. They claim he has an attitude because he has had to return multiple times for work on teeth that fell out right after he left. Who wouldn't be upset that you have to revisit the dentist 4 times in one day for the same tooth? Then he needed an implant bridge made and they ordered individual teeth to implant. Now he has issues with gaps between the implants. Totally mind blowing how he is punished and was told to find a new dentist. When they are actually the ones who were at fault. ‍ read more

Never actually made it in for the appointment, since their email and phone etiquette is poorly lacking. I get a call on a Friday that if I can't get my sons X-rays from his previous dentist (in another state that's closed on Friday) for an appointment that next Tuesday. I asked whomever called to email an email address and never got one. Mind you not once was it told to me that these images were needed. Not when I originally made the appointment and not when I had to reschedule an appointment. On Monday I called the old dentist and did everything to request the xrays but as with most places they require 48 business hours and Generations didn't give me the time to get them. On Tuesday I awoke to a rudely written email and promptly called and cancelled my appointments and will not be recommending this place or rescheduling. read more

Dr Darren Greenwell is a poor excuse of a dentist! I went to this office for a filling & his hygienist did a filling & failed to do it right the first time. The 2nd time I went, the hygienist did another filling & I mentioned to her my mouth was hurting from the 1st filling. The hygienist checked & stated "Oh it looks like it wasn't done right" ... So now I had to schedule another appointment to get my 1st filling corrected since the hygienist did a half ass job the first time. A couple days go by & my whole lower jaw is extremely inflamed whenever I dranked cold liquids to the point I wouldn't want to drink or eat anything. Finally I go to my next visit to correct the filling. I was very hesitant and anxious going into my visit. From my past experience an Oral Surgeon had left me with nerve damage from Louisville, KY - so it was causing me to think that Dr.Greenwell's office is just another Dentist Office that doesn't care about thier patients but thier money. I opened up with Dr. Greenwell about my concerns. As I explained to him, that I've had fillings done in the past back in New York & NOT ONCE did I deal with the amount of pain I'm dealing with now. Dr. Greenwell just kept bopping his head up & down like he "cared". But no he didn't, all he said was "Open your mouth"... I asked him so your not going to conversate with me like 2 human beings? Dr Greenwell as nonchalant goes "I am, I'm letting you vent". Wow just wow. Never have I've dealt with such unprofessionalism & lack of bedside manners in my life. Dr. Greenwell you are a certified bozo who doesn't know how to handle patients concerns with care & professionalism. No Doctor should ever make thier patients feel like thier just another dollar sign coming through the door. Generations Family Dentisty is a place of trained "professionals" who can't do a simple filling right. There's plenty of other places & Doctors who actually care about their patients well being & most importantly know what thier doing. Coordination with Aetna insurance was atrocious. My wife began an implant procedure after being given and estimate of our share of the cost. This required calling Aetna. So why if they called to get an estimate did they not request authorization? The Aetna plan specifically states: If you seek care from an Aetna PPO participating provider, your provider will automatically, when necessary, submit predetermination information to the network. This did not happen! We found out halfway through the implant process so what choice did we have but to pay out of pocket the entire expense. I appealed this denial twice to Aetna and asked the dental office for some help in form of a compromise but I received no offer of any kind. We were left holding the bag. As far as the dental work it was fine and no complaints. However, apparently the monkey is on your back to do the insurance coordinators job. I guess it's a sign of the times, do everything yourself and make sure everyone does their job while your at it. read more

Absolutely the worst dr's, staff and service I have ever received, well not received too. Go in for a filling and it takes me turning around 4 times and going back in within an hour because it kept falling out. Then pay them thousands to do 3 implants only to have them botch that too and then have to go elsewhere. Was told by that dentist to make sure they put a bridge in and not separate teeth and they can't even get that right. No scans, no molds no nothing, just 3 teeth that cost over $6,000 that have gaps in between 2 and food gets lodged into and then can't even floss between the other one. Then when I asked why they didn't do what the dental surgeon said to do and I paid for they give me and attitude and then send me a letter saying that I need to go elsewhere. I call and ask why and the manager Kim said the dentist's met and said I wasn't a good fit?!? What?!? Incompetence and an attitude by the whole staff minus the lady at the front desk kinda makes it a bad fit. Disabled combat veteran and so is my wife but yet they continually give the worst service and then expect you not to say something. They need to remove the sign in the front that says they support troops, they absolutely do not and don't care about any of their customers. read more
