The freezer stopped working, and I need an immediate diagnostic to see if I can still save it. I have several businesses who responded to my search but I chose Steve's because they offer a $65 diagnostic fee, which can be applied towards a repair. My decision was based on their price being more affordable compared to others; their Yelp rating is outstanding, and their immediate availability. I sent a message last night, and the company responded with their price quote and the magic words, "I can be there tomorrow." Our scheduled time was between 2-4pm, and Erick arrived at 3pm. Prior to that, Erick texted me to let me know that I would be his next customer. He also updated me of his ETA. Erick checked my freezer and found out there is a leak that's preventing my freezer from freezing. He advised me to get a new fridge as it will cost me more to repair my fridge. The diagnostic took less than 5 minutes. However, he stayed to recommend a company that's selling open box fridge for a discounted price. Erick also offered to pick up and deliver the fridge if I order from that company and in the event they don't deliver. He also told me that he would credit my $65 towards future repair. You can also get $20 off only if you get something repaired and give them a review. I appreciate the honesty of the service and the fact that he did not make me feel rushed. The responsiveness and their immediate availability even during the rain made me feel secure that I'm dealing with professional people. $65 is worth my peace of mind. I will use this business again for future needs.

    They TRAPPED me and my family in an elevator and one of their technicians tried to ASSAULT me in my…read morebuilding telling me to "F*** OFF"! after doing so. Total Access Elevator committed an OSHA violation because of their unprofessional and negligent conduct. They DID NOT inform our property manager that they were conducting an annual inspection and arrived without any notice to our management. And although they had 3 technicians on site, none cared to properly notify residents that maintenance was occurring at 8am when everyone is starting to go about their day. My partner and child were trapped inside for around 10mins taking her to school, even making her late. We were TERRIFIED inside as the elevator jerked up and down and the call / help buttons even told us to call our administrator (ie. property manager). We yelled out for HELP and didn't even know what floor we were on despite being on the top floor. Once we were out, I asked one of their technicians if they had notified management about the maintenance / repairs. They didn't. I asked if they even had communicated with the manager prior to their arrival. They Didn't. I asked why they hadn't let residents know about repairs prior to starting on them. They Didn't. As I was asking reasonable questions, one of their other technicians became aggressive telling me in front of my family that we "should be thankful that they let us out". They put us in this situation to begin with. Their technician then lunged at me to assault me, raising his fist and only because of his co-worker was he stopped, telling me to "F*** OFF!" in our place of residence. Of course, he escalated the situation. I reached out to their manager moments later only to be put on hold for 10mins and then told that the supervisor would return my call in 5-10 mins. An hour later I had to call them to demand to speak with the supervisor who then tried to place fault on me for raising my voice with his technicians. The lack of accountability and responsibility was egregious. Only after I called him out on this, did he mention he was going to write them up and never allow them back to our residence. He admitted that this was in fact a major annual inspection, but Total Access Elevator had not informed our building's management nor residents prior to repairs, putting our lives at risk. Later after I informed our manager that it was a major annual inspection, that same supervisor David attempted to mischaracterize the events of what happened telling our manager to the effect of that we had only been in there "30 seconds" and again reiterated that it was because of my raised voice that the incident escalated and his worker had de-escalated the situation. How attempting to assault resident in their building and screaming at them to "F*** Off!" is somehow de-escalation defies any sense of logic and is void of accountability. They are extremely unprofessional, aggressive, and don't communicate properly. If could give them a ZERO star I would.

You expect long waits, confusing rules, and just an overall headache. That's honestly what we were preparing ourselves for when we started looking for a storage unit. However, our experience with Golden State Storage in Santa Fe Springs was the complete opposite. We actually found the place by accident while driving by, and what immediately caught our attention was how clean and well-kept the property looked from the outside. The bright yellow color of the building stands out, but more importantly everything looked organized, modern, and very well maintained. That alone made us curious enough to stop in and check it out. We were looking for a storage facility close to home where we could keep some equipment, but we honestly had no idea what to expect or what the process would be like. The moment we walked into the office, Jackie greeted us and completely changed what we thought the experience would be like. She was incredibly welcoming right away. Not the forced "customer service" kind of greeting, but genuinely friendly and helpful. Jackie was amazing from start to finish. She took the time to explain everything in detail and made sure we understood how everything works. Since we had never rented a storage unit before, we had a lot of questions. She never rushed us and was extremely patient while answering every single one. She walked us through the different unit sizes, pricing, access hours, and security features so we could figure out what would work best for our needs. What really stood out is that she didn't just talk about the units from behind the desk. Jackie actually offered to walk us around the facility and show us several units in person so we could visualize the space. That made a huge difference because it helped us understand exactly what we were renting. She also showed us how to navigate the building, how access works through the Bluetooth phone system, and how the entry points and elevators work. For someone who has never used a modern storage facility before, that level of guidance was incredibly helpful. You can tell she truly cares about making sure customers feel comfortable and confident with their decision. She made the whole process smooth and stress-free. As for the facility itself, everything is extremely clean and well maintained. The elevators are spotless, the hallways are clean and well lit, and the entire building feels very secure. You can tell the management takes pride in maintaining the property. The Bluetooth phone access is also very convenient. It makes entering the facility simple and modern without having to deal with complicated keypads or cards. The whole system feels very organized and secure. Overall, we were very impressed with Golden State Storage. What started as a quick stop while driving by turned into finding exactly what we needed. But the biggest reason this experience stood out was Jackie. Her professionalism, patience, and friendliness made what we expected to be a stressful process incredibly easy and actually enjoyable. Thank you so much, Jackie, for taking the time to help us and for making the entire experience such a positive one. Customer service like that is rare these days, and it definitely made a lasting impression. If anyone is looking for a clean, secure, and well-run storage facility in Santa Fe Springs, I highly recommend Golden State Storage. We are very clean and organized and wanted a CLEAN storage unit. We originally rented 2 10x25 but ended up renting 2 more. If you need clean, highly secure units do not hesitate to check them out.
