In a word: confusing. When I first heard the name for this oddly named clothing shop I presumed it was either an army surplus store or the name of a slightly militaristic children's cartoon character. Not so.
Upon closer inspection, General Pants Co. is in fact a very popular Australian retailer selling a range of local and international labels, with an emphasis on surf, street, and skate wear, and with prices ranging from refreshingly cheap to obscenely expensive.
In another word? Confounding. It took me a while to figure out that General Pants Co. actually stocked some pretty cult upscale brands, there's just something about the merchandising that makes this shop look a little, well, cheap.
Stocking some great labels such as Cheap Monday, April 77, RVCA, Sass & Bide and more, General Pants Co. is definitely worth a look if you like your clothes casual and can see past the sometimes shambolic appearance of its shops.
I can only presume they're laid out the way they are so that General Pants Co.'s customers will leave feeling as if they've found a diamond in the rough. Even if they did just spend five hundred bucks on a pair of sunglasses. read more
