It can be expensive, especially the paint, so boy was I happy when I found out that the co-op I live in gives $250 every two years for new paint through General Paint. So off I went on my paint shopping spree. They are currently under going some renos themselves but that didn't take away from the friendly and efficient service I received from Shona. She helped us pick out a colour that will darken the red in my dining room, that will compliment the grey in the loving room and also was knowledgeable on the types of paint to get. For someone like me who has NEVER painted before this project it was a godsend. I was also able to get everything I needed and of course I used up the whole $250. While I was at the cash register waiting for a couple of the gallons to mix I looked at the other girl/lady helping customers and realized that it was Pucks girlfriend that used to work at PetSmart, Alannah. As soon as I told her who I was I was told to bring in my pups (Puck and Oberon) right away lol. The boys got dog cookies and loves. When we were finally ready to leave (as we were able for a bit but stayed to catch up and let the boys get their treats) we were helped with the 7 gallons of paint and all supplies to the car. I will be back for future paint supplies and not just with vouchers lol.

So, I'm especially appreciative of my local paint store. It's small, specialized, and staffed with lovely and helpful people I don't have to ring a damned bell to find. For a painting project I was doing recently, I just needed a few supplies. I was in and out of the store with exactly what I needed to get within about five minutes. Plus, I was able to pick up some paint swatch samples and design guides for a future project. I love this place, way more than I love actual painting.

On the other hand, I recently used their paint for an interior bedroom and I found that the finishes were not as demonstrated- the flat and semigloss were both shinier that they should have been and the paint was difficult to apply. Be gone, graffiti!…read more And with the advice from the great staff at Cloverdale Paint, the graffiti is gone. (okay, it's covered) Three different paints and colours were sprayed onto our bare cement retaining wall. Counter guy explained about primer - and he tinted the primer so it blends with the bare cement tone. (we had done the power wash!) Set me up with the correct fluffy roller sleeve, and paint tray liner. I've just finished covering the graffiti and it looks fabulous. Staff here really know their product. I've purchased paint here in the past, but this time I needed specialty stuff, and they provided top product and advice. Now we will paint colourful flowers on the cement. Take that, taggers! Enter their parking lot by using the north curb lane on Terminal, and pulling in at the End of the Roll store. Lots of free parking. Located on Terminal Avenue, across from Tim Horton's.

After going through a nightmare of a fire that destroyed our home, and after dealing with the crooked and incompetent painter from hell which deals with another Bad -enjamin Moore dealer which I won't mention-Donna and her team really went to bat for me. This idiot painter which I will call Lug, used dirty trays and dirty brushes to paint my suite. When he was finished he always left the blinds closed so I would not notice the streaking left behind on the walls by the dirty trays and brushes he was using. The fellow that hung my closet doors from Windsor Plywood noticed how bad it was, especially in the closets, and pointed it out to me. I called Lug and he told me that sometimes it is an issue with the Benjamin Moore Natura paint. I spoke with Donna and Alex from the Lansdowne store and they assured me that this is def not the case--there are no such issues with this paint. They recommended a truly good and honest painter , gave me a terrific discount to buy more paint to fix the mess the Lug ass left behind and Donna was even so kind as to give me a free can because her heart went out to me because of everything I have had to endure with less than honest people.(Lug even stole a few cans of primer from me and made me order more saying it wasn't enough--it did not end with this guy, he even tried to steal a ladder from out of my suite and then tried to blame the flooring guy-a piece of work this Lug is) I was so moved by her kindness, that it is not always about profit and that she extended this kindness toward me. I will never forget and from now on I will only purchase my paints and supplies from her store, will only go with a painter she recommends (she has integrity and only deals with people of integrity as well). I highly recommend Donna's Benjamin Moore store on Lansdowne Drive in Coquitlam--an honest and ethical businessperson is wonderful to find. With all my heart, again, thank you Donna--and Alex.

My mother has been trusting in Hewer Home Hardware for many years. Upon arriving at the store we spoke to 3 different employees about heaters, their knowledge was politely negligible.
