Seriously, I have a tick skin, so not bothered too much, and wouldn't even write the review, but I thought about other people who want to go there and may not have such a resilience for bullying behaviour, and how it could affect their day! Products overpriced, too many of them, and all over the place. To top it up, very, very, very rude lady working there. I have read other reviews and they all the same, not sure how this business still runs. You lady, you should be ashamed of yourself speaking to people like that, life hasn't teach you much.

My only complaint: I got some Echinacea in here once. I spoke to the man who worked there and read the instructions, it was going to prevent colds and I was never going to have to insert a Vicks stick anywhere ever again. However, only a month or so later I had a cold and had to buy Kleenex and insert a Vicks. Rubbish. Other than that, A-OK.

"I don't know, i haven't used it" would work better for me. So if you decide to shop in there make sure you don't come in with toddlers as they are not welcome.

They claim to have Europe's largest range of product lines of natural medicines, although some of these are available on-line rather than in-store. This outlet is tucked away at the side of Tesco Kensington, behind the main row of tills, although you can visit it without going through them. Its opening hours are also more restricted, so it is more of a shop within a shop. It's a bit cramped (there's a lot of stock in a small space), with high shelves, and the prices are slightly on the high side. Staff seemed reasonably efficient, although to be honest they weren't that busy.

Holland & Barrett was recently one of these time-warps and before I knew it, I'd spent 30 minutes browsing their, um, aisle. It's not a big location, but I found cleansing detox tea, flax seed, aloe vera supplements, granola bars, daily vitamins, protein powers and a decent selection of gluten free items that I never knew I needed so badly. H&B is a great little shop and it certainly did the cathartic trick for my health-food store craving.

When I was there they had a promotion, buy 1 get a second 1/2 off, though it was a bit confusing to know which items qualified---apparently protein bars do count! Service wasn't that helpful, I spent quite a bit of time looking at protein shakes and you would think someone would eventually ask to help, but sadly no. That said, I'd go back here mainly because of the selection and location. There are actually 2 Holland & Barrett's on upper street, so if you don't see what you are looking for at this location (near Angel) ask them to ring the store near the Highbury and Islington tube.

They also have a small cooler section which I noticed stocks meat alternatives and a wall almost solely dedicated to body building supplements (frequented by many a city gent I might add!). It's worth popping in just for snacks as there's usually some sort of offer on and the price gram for gram is usually better than the small enticing packs you find near the counters of the nearby sandwich shops.

As such I have tended to feel a little lost in Shoreditch. There being hundreds of places to buy a drink and not one purveyor of Milk Thistle, Vitamin B and Evening Primrose capsules. Just a few of my own personal drugs of choice. And so I've become acquainted with the Holland and Barrett store on the fringes of Leadenhall Market, this great British health food chain Mecca for the health conscious. Stocking a dizzying range of vitamins, minerals and supplements, a good variety of vegan, wheat/gluten free food and the kind of herbal teas that haven't quite hit the mainstream - i.e. Tesco - Holland and Barrett should sate even the most hard-core health fanatics and the staff are lovely to boot.

This isn't my favourite branch of Revital, despite being my closest. There's a focus on supplements…read morerather than whole food (which is fine, considering the size/location); you won't be finding any fresh groceries, for example, though there's a small refrigerator case which has cold drinks and sometimes chilled falafel, tofu, sauerkraut, pickles. My issue is primarily with the staff. There's a strange vibe here where everyone will ask you if you need help, but then nobody is overly helpful. They're all too happy to order things in for you, but then won't call you if there's a delay. "It'll be here tomorrow" is 100% not going to happen; you're lucky if it comes in a week, and there's no contact between you placing the order and when it comes in to let you know there's a delay. Really disappointing for a small place which could easily have become a favourite, but now is only there if I desperately need something and can't get anywhere else. Strangely, they also stopped stocking coffee (is caffeinated black/green/white tea next on the hit list?) and less-toxic hair dye (luckily John Bell & Croydon is just down Wigmore and carries a wide range) so it really feels like this place is going to be supplements & creams/lotions only eventually.
