Good little waffle & crêpe vendor in Altstadt, very close to the Rhine River walk. They stay open…read morelate on the weekends which is good if/when you're out and about and want to get something warm and sweet. Though I prefer their crêpes, they are equally known for their waffles and soft pretzels. They have a good selection of soft drinks and bottled water as well. You know you've reached the right place when you see a back wall stacked with large Nutella containers.

We had a waffle with blueberries, strawberries and chocolate sauce. It was prepared relatively quick and was delicious, they did write whatever name you'd like on the plate, which was cute. But it's a walk from Altstadt and the Kö, and since it wasn't an amazing experience I wouldn't recommend it as a must see while in town, but the food was good. I loved my plum cinnamon waffles with vanilla ice cream and vanilla sauce on top! This was the best waffle I had so far! They have a good variety of coffee types and also daily specials. Da der Franchisenehmer in diesem Fall wahrscheinlich auf seine Marge achten muss. 2) der Geschmack ist deutlich fader. Es fehlt Säure und es wird gefühlt an Zutaten gespart. Geschmacklich ist der hier enttäuschend 3) Kartenzahlung erst ab 5 Euro weil Besitzer muss sich Geld verdienen. Wer schon mal Geld für einen guten, frozen yogurt ausgeben möchte, dem empfehle ich in die Lorettostraße oder am carlsplatz bei yomaro vorbei zu schauen

For my taste it was a tad too sweet but I think it comes down to your combination and personal preference. The frozen yogurt had just the right amount of tartness. Not too much that it would overpower the other ingredients. There are quite a few options to choose from when you have to pick the toppings and sauces for your fresh waffle. I am very glad to say that the toppings I had still tasted fresh. Some items like Knoppers can taste like sweet cardboard when they sit there too long. SERVICE The staff there was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately when we sat down, the tables were a bit dirty and one had leftovers from previous customers. I think that even at busy times you need to take a few minutes to clean a table when a customer decides to sits down. ATMOSPHERE It is a small, hip and trendy location. Three tables inside and a bench outside. RATING I like the addition of the bubble waffle and rice pudding close to winter time. With the exception of the dirty table I can't complain. All the items they offer are of good quality.
