I just went to Geary Gallery with a rush job that I need completed in 48 hours and Tom and his crew were an absolute pleasure to deal with...not only did they not hit me up for rush charges, they are going to do their best to have the job done by close of business tomorrow to save me from having to make a special trip back on Saturday [I live in Fairfield]. What a great place! Tom Geary has an eye for frames that's terrific. Tell him "my carpet is this color, my wall is that color, the sofa's this other color, and here's the painting to be framed" and he'll select a frame that's so perfect -- and I'd never have thought of that one myself. That's really the "Accent Picture Framing" portion of his shop. The art gallery side has great maritime work and other interesting art, mostly landscapes. Well worth a visit. Closed on Sundays and Mondays, though. read more
