The gentleman behind the gelato counter didn't speak hardly any English but he was so nice and polite he made it easy to order. We each go 2 scoops with a cone. I chose coffee and cookies and cream! Both flavors were just incredible. Smooth. Creamy. Rich but not overpowering. (Only wish I had added a scoop of the tiramisu ) She got walnut and chocolate. Both were well made and good to eat. The carpaccio was a generous portion, well dressed with arugula/rocket and parmesan shavings. For main course, we had the scalopini with mushrooms and tagliatele bolognese. The generous portion of bolognese was delicious served with perfectly cooked pasta. The scalopini were ok. For desert we ordered creme brulee and panna cotta. The sugar on the creme brulee is torched at the table. This was well made and delicious. The panna cotta was not fully set so it was flat on plate. It was also too sweet. This dessert should not habe been served in the state it was in as it was clearly not ready, they took it off the bill. I would possibly try the place again if in the area but not a go to for Italian food.

So today, sun was out and…read moreas most Germans specifically, Münchener's do on a sunny day, eat ice cream like it's going out of style, and I followed suit ;-)) This place just happened to be nearby and I stepped in to give it a whirl ;-)) They have a variety of flavours and the eis is well hidden in stainless steel cylinders and they use metal spatulas to serve the eis unlike most places in Munich where scoops are used. This is more in line with many good gelato shops across Italy. All the eis here is made from organic ingredients and there are signs on the wall with ingredients list of every flavour. They had some interesting flavours like NY Cheesecake, Salted Caramel, Rum Caramel, green tea and so on. I had two varieties Mascarpone Fig and Salted Caramel. I loved the fig eis very much and the salted caramel was also quite ok. It was creamy and flavourful. I must admit whilst I enjoyed it, I prefer my corner shop called Trampolin that also serves organic eis. If I am in the area I will definitely drop in. If nothing else I will come back for some green tea eis to take home ;-)) a nice eis shop in Schwabing.
