A little history about Gator Mike's Family Fun Park. The park was originally built by Mike Greenwell (Boston Red Sox) little more than 30 years ago with batting cages, indoor arcade, miniature golf and amusement park rides. The park was run by his family while he played his entire career for Red Sox as a leftfielder. Chris and Carol Scuderi purchased this park and renamed to Gator Mike's Family Fun Park. The old official name was "Mike Greenwell's Bat-A-Ball & Family Fun Park". Mike Greenwell's nick name is "The Gator." Now they have Go-Karts, Paint Ball, Climb Wall, Arial Ropes, Zipline, Arcade, Axe Throwing, Virtual Reality Game, Remote Control Boats with a Bar and Grill and a snack by the arcade. Major renovations are undergoing in Gator Mike. A new miniature golf, Dinosaur Falls, replaced the Batting Cages and available for play on December, 2022. The theme will bring the players back to prehistoric times with an erupting volcano with water falls. Construction for Mellow Mushroom will start soon and plan for open in Summer 2023. I assumed it will be on the side of old miniature golf course. On a Saturday afternoon, we stop by to play a round of miniature golf and check out the game room or the arcade. The front parking was nearly full and overflowing to the side and back of park. On the left, is the Latitude 78 a Bar and Grille. This is place to stage your party or enjoy a drink after your activity. For $13, a senior fare, we play 19 holes of miniature golf. Since this is brand new, the turf and ground are immaculately clean with blue water flowing and running. This dinosaur theme will be a big hit as many youngsters are familiar with this four-legged animals. Many holes feature double or triple breaks. Some holes will require the ball go through a little mini water fall. It is not easy to par all hole and over come the water obstacles. The Game Room feature some standard games like basketball, riding. It is lot smaller than Dave & Buster's. Three small rooms are available for private party, Axe Throwing and Frightmare. A good size snack is available but we did not purchase any drinks or snacks. The restrooms are clean. Toward the back, there are aerial rope, zipline and Go-Kart. Aerial rope and ziplines were closed because the construction of Booth for Miniature Golf. We are happy with our miniature golf. Since this is a family fun park and major renovation is work in progress, we'll back to spend more time with aerial ropes, zipline, Go-Kart and of course, arcade games. read more

While this place has great mini golf I purchased the tickets on Groupon for a good price. the arcade in the inside is price very well $25 an hour for unlimited play with a 20 second Rest in between each game on the card but you don't receive any tickets just play the games. It does not have many games to play some of the games don't work and there is not enough staff. The place was very clean. read more

Grandkids were visiting and wanted to ride/race go karts and this was the closest place. Live only about 2 miles away. The go kart should be considered antiques and perhaps even put in a museum. It was pathetic. The employees didn't seem to care about anything, including how your visit was going. They were almost like robots I would go elsewhere. There is a lot of potential here for a great family fun center. They spent a lot on their miniature golf course recently that clashes with their theme ... dinosaurs at a place called gator mikes. Maybe make it more swamp themed to make it more concise? Anyways, there is a lot of unused space and closed off areas. You have to walk 500 yards down to where the go-karts are ... it's oddly arranged. Inside the games are overpriced and the prize center for the redemption games is always closed and unstaffed, so don't plan on bringing any kids if you have any( unless you want them disappointed). They have a lot of real estate to make a great place if they would have taken that money spent on Animatronic dinosaurs and instead spent it on up keeping the other sections. This place was a lot of fun. True, there could be more staff, but the staff there worked hard and the place was better than many of the reviews suggested it would be (maybe they have updated their facilities since). There is a brand new mini-golf course, which was fun for my daughter (age 11) and I. The zip line was a thrill and the ropes course was a surprising and fun challenge for us both. We were not expecting much from the ropes course and it over-delivered. The course, and the staff running it, are underrated. Admittedly, the arcade is average. Oh well. For an afternoon in SW Florida, this was a great way to spend it. read more

So on a Saturday I took the wife and kids out for breakfast and then we wanted to do go karts. Gator Mikes is the only place in the area with go karts as I write this. So around 9am we are done with breakfast and I google gator mikes and they open at 11am. Disappointing, but we waste time around town and arrive right at 11am. Sitting there until 11:05ish until a lazy worker comes to the gate at a snails pace to open it. We walk inside and it smells disgusting, the bathrooms are in need of remodel, and just maybe 5-7 customers inside. The other customers came thru the side entrance. Then we walk to the go karts to check them out. Nobody on site. The girl that opened the gate is the only worker on site. Then we review the go kart rules as we wait in hopes of another worker arriving soon. The slow, two passenger go karts require riders to be 58" minimum. It does not say drivers, it says riders! So my 4 year can't go on with me according to the rules. Even if he could, no workers around! So we turn around and go back in the smelly place and I get a $10 card for the arcades for the kids so we can at least do something before leaving. One swipe at Jurassic Park and it says my balance is $7.75. The screen says the game is $1 to play and the card reader says it's $1.25 to play. Which one is correct? Neither! I'm not mathematician but my balance should not be $7.75. We emptied the card and left. Save yourself the time and avoid visiting thiis place. Even the mini golf 1 mile away at Bowland is a hundred times better. I can't wait until the old Zoomers location opens back up later this year. They'll have the best go karts around. read more

This is the most disgusting restaurant in Cape Coral!! We gave it a 3rd chance.... 3 strikes you're out!! First time was lame and not good service! 2nd time they wanted to close 2 hours early... today the sign outside say "Live music 12-4" we got there at 1pm to eat. No music at all. The kid bartender working never washed his hands after mopping the floor and cleaning with his hands... there were people smoking cigars inside the eating area and the bartender just sits at bar. Anyways to the food EVERYTHING they serve is just frozen and fried junk!! The shrimp - terrible the 20 piece boneless wings were terrible and the"cook" didn't even put sauce on all of them so I asked for more Sauce to cover the wings and they didn't sauce and they charged us more... also this is the only place that Nickel and dimes you for sauce everyone else gives you when you order wings!!! Like ranch or blue cheese and not extra just 1 to go with your chicken it's Terrible! Shrimp - suck wings- suck mozzarella sticks -sucks It's sad this place could be a cool family day with things to do and maybe get a bite to eat!! We went to Gator Mikes while on a trip to Cape Coral. I will start with the positives... a few of the staff members were very kind and helpful... and though it seemed under staffed, the employees had a good attitude! Unfortunately, that's where our positive experience ended. Half of the attractions were not available/as promised on their website. We went specifically for our 6 year old who wanted to try zip lining. The website advertised a new zip line experience for ages 5-11. Apparently this did not exist and she was too small for the normal zip line experience. With the exception of the mini golf, rest of the park was VERY run down and a bit of an eyesore. I'm sure this park was great 25 years ago, but it is in need of a major renovation! Needless to say, we do not recommend. read more

I have been taking our grandkids here for the past two years. Each visit I see improvement. The guy who works at the go kart track is friendly and very attentive. The arcade is very clean, well maintained, and has chairs/tables to sit while the kids play. As for snacks, it is typical for an arcade. Ok so looking at these previous reviews, it would look like this place is a hit or a miss. Depending on what staff you had or what activity you chose, it could be great or not. Well, our group got treated really well and the activities all went on without any major issues. So, it was a hit for us. First off, they were understaffed and our designated person, Elena, was a trooper. She definitely puts in a lot of effort with each activity and with each kid we had. I had to let her know before left that she did great because I'm not sure she hears that enough. The activities we did went well largely because of her work. Anyhow! I came here a long time ago and now this is my first time back after their revamp. I definitely see the effort they're putting especially in this area. We don't have these things in Cape Coral. So the addition of the rock wall and zip line is really smart. I understand you probably can't do it like 100x before wanting variety, but for now it's worth a few visits. The mini golf, which I hadn't done there before, was easy enough for my toddler to get through all 19 holes. No issues. No balls stuck. No debris. No need to complain. We did some food which was pizza and soda. It is what it is but the service was good for our sized group. Then we did the trampoline and it went well. It can get backed up if you have a nice size group because each kid gets a few minutes on there so a 5-10 kid group can easily eat up a lot of your time. My son loved it and he's 3 so that's nice to know they have it available for toddlers. Then we went in and did the arcades. My son loved (unfortunately) the Jurassic Park game which I thought was only driving but it's only shooting. I didn't get to try many other games due to that 1 game my son loved but I didn't see any other malfunctioning games. Maybe 1? Lastly they did the hand wax activity. This was neat since I hadn't really seen that before. My only gripe for that was again for a decent to large group, this can take a while. If you're in line for the wax, you can expect to wait maybe 5 minutes per person. I probably would've swapped out the wax for something else or just gone straight to the cake for time purposes. Understaffed,we tried using the Go Carts 3 days in a roll, no luck. Today was our last day in town we teied again. There was a line of about 45 people and the kid in charge was all alone trying to fuel up the carts and take care of everything. Of course he could not do it all alone. So, after 30 minute wait no one was able to ride and we gave up. I went to the office in an attempt to get a refund, since i was not going to be able to use our rides. I was told that the manager went to help at the go carts. No one was there. They would not call the manager to address my issue and would not do anything. Unacceptable! Beware! Absolutely ridiculous! Forewarning: if you have any groupons for Gator Mike's paint balling, they are no longer honoring them. My guess is they charge $25 a person as a walk up charge and are money hungry so they let people buy these for Christmas and then decided not to honor them so they can get people to pay full price when they go. We got 4 of these for Christmas as gifts and they will not do anything other than say "just call Groupon" didn't even offer to honor the value of them. Lisa, the manager was less than helpful, wouldn't even come to the front desk when I asked to speak with her. In addition to my review, the owner, Cat, responded to it in a local FB group with name calling, threatening, and cursing. Took my grandkids, who were visiting. Two kids weren't tall enough to ride on their own, which I thought was odd because the height requirement is usually 48". In this place, the requirement was higher, so I had to go twice with each of them as a "passenger". The steering wheel was extremely difficult to turn, the track was uneven, and as I was riding the second time, we were bumped by a teenage girl who was extremely reckless to the point of being dangerous. They say no bumping, but my grandson said she'd bumped him as well during his ride. This was no fun at all! read more

If i could give zero i would. All children workinh there. Not one adult to speak to. I ordered 2 zip lines and 2 go karts. AFTER they took my money they told me it was an hour wait for the zip line. Than told me i needed closed toed shoes. I asked for a refund than since i obviously couldnt do it. They said they would only be able to give me a credit 5 seconds after i purchased but there was nothing else i wanted to do. Asked for the manager and a guy that looked no more than 15 told us the exact same thing. Than the cashier screams across the room theres a sign here in an extremely rude voice. It was fun for Halloween but wasn't as scary as I expected. I hope maybe they can add a trail for adults so we can really be scared!! It just seemed more childlike but that's all ok! I'm glad kids got to have fun. Our tickets were super over priced for a trail that was no longer than 5 minutes. I also got minimal entertainment from the actors as most were kids or teens. The only thing nice about this place was the new mini-golf, though it could use more shade. We got there 11:30 (it opens at 11:00) and loaded our card for arcade only to find all machines we're off-line. Zip lines didn't start til 12:00 and go-karts 2:00. Went to fish/turtle pond to kill time and vending machines with food for them was empty so we lost quarters there. Finally at 12:00 they let us go on zip-line and my granddaughter was first and got hung up 8' from take-off platform dangling 30' in the air. When she finally reached end they couldn't get harness off her and asked my husband for his car keys to pry it off! After that we left premises for lunch and called @1:30 to see if arcades were back on-line (they were) so we returned, used up credit and went on go-karts. We are on a family vacation and the kids wanted to play mini golf. We found this gem and it was amazing!! The staff alone were worth the 5 stars!! The guys working were so helpful and kind. Not only to us but I watched them be helpful to everyone else. We played in the arcade, took rides on the racetrack, but my 100% favorite thing to do was the wax hands!! One of my favorite places to go with my friends to have a good weekend. A little expensive, rides around $3-5 each, and go-karts about $5 for the smaller tracks and $8 for the bigger ones. In my opinion, it's worth the money! It's definetly more of a teenager's idea of fun. Most likely not somewhere to go as a family, as most of the workers themselves are college kids. Attended a kids birthday party here and had a great time! So many fun activities for kids and plenty to entertain all ages. The party included a round of mini golf, bungee jump, and go karts. My 3 year old loved every second and all of the kids at the party seemed to really enjoy each activity. The party also included some credits for the arcade, which is fun for the older kids, but my son is still a little young for it. The only activity I felt wasn't well organized was the wax hand dip as it took a long time to do each one. One complaint was there didn't seem to be enough staff members around and the girls running the parties seemed overwhelmed.
