We hired Simon and his team to do a big job around our house. We had a huge willow oak that needed de-limbing and clean-out (it had several potential widow makers, as well as a lot of smaller dead stuff that needed to come out). They did the clean out and raised the canopy on the oak before proceeding to the rest of the job, which included limbing and clean out of our crepe myrtle, limbing a Bradford Pear to get it off of our house, cleaning out a black cherry, and removing dangerous limbs from a honey locust that were overhanging our neighbor's yards/storage buildings and our children's playhouse. This was a huge job, and Simon and his team worked efficiently, communicated with us during the entire process, and left the yard looking much better than when they arrived. When the job was complete, Simon walked me around the yard and explained to me exactly what they had done to each tree, pointed out several potential hazards that will need to be addressed in the future, and gave me advice how to rescue a tree that is a little worse for wear. I would not hesitate to contact Gatling Tree Service for our future needs. read more

I don't usually purchase anything from anyone I do not know however, I felt that I could trust Mr. Gatling. He told me that he had just completed a job for my neighbor, which I noticed earlier. He explained what type of tree I had and what my tree needed to be healthy and the service he could provide. He is a man of his word. He did everything he said he would do and more. He cleaned my area and my neighbor's area where some wood chips fell. Mr. Gatling and workers were respectful and very professional. After removing dead limbs and reducing the crown of the tree, my lawn and house looks much better. My house is not hiding behind a lot of dead branches and it looks fresh and brighter. They did such a great job that I'm referring the Gatling Tree Service to friends, family, coworkers and church members. read more

I hired Gatling Tree Service for work in our Homeowner's association. They were very prompt in scheduling a time to take a look at our community's trees. He had limited funds for the number of trees that were dead/dying and he helped us to identify the most pressing issues and prioritize what needed to be addressed now versus what could wait. They helped us to fit the most pressing needs into our budget. When trimming the dead/dying trees where possible they saved the living portion of the tree only removing the problematic portions. When performing the work, they cleaned up the area well. We will be going back to them for our future tree service needs. read more

I had a large tree that was about to cause issues with utilities in my yard, as well as mine and my neighbor's driveways. Gatling Tree Service Inc. (www.gattlingtreeservice.com) (ph.571-283-4990) removed the tree and stump. They were very professional and courteous throughout the process. Awesome clean-up after the tree was removed. Simon Gattling kept me informed on his estimated return for the stump removal. This process was done after Ms Utility marked my yard. I have no problem recommending Gattling Tree Servic. I like them enough that; I'm in the process of getting an estimate on filing the stump hole and re-sodding my yard. read more

Yesterday's storm took down part of a tree next to my house. I was concerned about the rest of the tree falling on the house. As I was trying to figure out what to do when a Gatling Tree Service truck came by. Within five minutes Simon Gatling had sized up the problem and we agreed to an amount. Simon and his crew worked like a well-oiled machine, and in less than an hour, the every part of the tree was gone. I've never seen a group work so fast and make sure that the lawn and driveway were completely cleaned. I hope another storm doesn't take down a tree, but if one does, I'm going to call Gatling (571-283-4990). read more

Great Experience! Simon and Mark gave us a free estimate that was very reasonable. Good customer service that listened to our needs and explained all that they would do carefully. Their team took their time and completed all of the work in a reasonable timeframe. They took down 4 trees and trimmed 3 trees. They even cut, split and stacked the extra wood for our fireplace. They took special care to safeguard our fences and outdoor furniture and cleaned up everything afterwards. We were very pleased with the outcome, so much so that we gave them a tip that exceeded their estimate. Highly Recommended! read more

Last year, Mr. Gatling was in the neighborhood and came to the door about my trees. I did the unthinkable and hired him. This was one of better impulsive moves. This year, someone came to my door and told me my tree was splitting. I thanked him and said I would call my tree guy. I did not see any trees splitting. I called Mr. Gatling, who agreed that all of my trees are BIG and healthy. I had him trim the branches that might fall on the house and the children's play areas. Great job by Mr. Gatling and crew. Great hiring decision by me! read more

Gatling Tree Service happened by our house today as they were in the area giving a quote. They let us know about the disease we have in our ash tree out front of which we had no idea! We talked about that but asked them about trimming some branches in the back and removing a large tree that had fallen across our yard. Less than an hour later we had a beautifully trimmed back yard, the tree was gone and all branches and stumps removed. Done and dusted! Four really nice, hard working guys. Highly recommend! I had a tree that shifted leaning towards my home after a windstorm. I called Gatling Tree Service, Inc. and they came out on a Sunday to take that tree down and a few other hazardous trees on my property. The team was very courteous and did a great job protecting other trees and my property. Did a great job cleaning up. They even agreed to drop the wood chips on another spot on my property and hauled away larger debris. Highly recommend. Came out to my property for an estimate on an overgrown tree in my front yard. I didn't anticipate getting the work down right away, but the crew was there and ready to do the work immediately so I hired them. They did a great job of trimming the tree and most importantly cleaning up the debris. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to know that they cared enough to make sure they did a good job and left my property better than it was before they came. This is a great company to do business with! read more

Called Simon to prune several crape myrtle and a large maple tree. He came early Friday morning on time and ready to complete the work. This was a nice surprise. We discussed the work to be done and Simon pointed out a couple of problems I didnt know. He made recommendations what needed to be done and I agreed. Long story short, I was happy with the quality of the work, his knowledge and experience and at a very reasonable cost. Also, I am a repeat customer and plan to use Gatling in the future. read more

I had some extensive work done and Gatling Tree Service did a fanatic job! The crew came and did all that was needed and Mr. Gatling kept me updated on the progress and was so nice each time I added something new to be done. There were no suprise costs. Everything was discussed and agreed upon before the work was done. His crew even cleaned up my deck and roof of the sawdust after cutting down the trees. I would certainly recommend them to anyone. They are fair and honest. read more

Another great job by Gatling Tree Service. Simon and his crew showed up on another cold day. Today was also windy but when I asked if it was too windy, he said he wouldn't have come if the wind was a safety concern. They got to work quickly and took care of a tree that was leaning dangerously towards a storage shed. A tree that should have been taken care of by Spotsylvania County since it's on County property. read more
