She put me on a med with many undisclosed side effects, then would not return my calls, letters or faxes about the side effects I was suffering. I finally filed a complaint with the MO Nursing Board. All Dr. Hatlelid ever did was to write back that he had no idea why I was having the problems I was having, and only after a second, and registered, letter. I filed a complaint against him, too.

I saw Tamara Hoyt for almost 2.5, until recently I decided to terminate therapy. Tamara, who goes…read moreby Tammy, was at least 10 minutes late for every appointment, frequently cancelled my appointments 10-15 minutes before the appointment was scheduled to start, and often after I had already arrived and was sitting in the waiting area. Moreover there were many times ( at least 4 times) that Tammy didn't show up at all for an appointment. Though she was very apologetic, and rescheduled my appointment for the same day but in the evening versus the morning, I live 35 minutes from her office, and it was just really unacceptable how many times that occurred. However I actually looked past her tardiness, frequent and abrupt cancellations, because I thought she was a good therapist, until I started I really started having lot of struggles, she started to say a lot of really inappropriate things things to me. She got frustrated if I misunderstood her. If I gave her feedback about something I didn't like that she was doing she took that as an attack to her as a therapist. Once I told her that I felt she shouldn't have said something to me, and that in my opinion it was unprofessional, and she really could not handle me saying that. Moreover she said well if I'm such a bad therapist then you should see someone else. I know we all have different experiences but my experience with Tammy was poor. Furthermore she had a lot of insecurities about what I and other people thought about her as a therapist. Over all she didn't help me much because she didn't listen me, in fact she was the one who talked most of the session.

I was seriously ill (uncoordinated/disoriented, in pain and suffering from tinnitus like crazy). My first appointment with a new primary was months away and I was panicking when I thought I'd found a specialist in MDBI. So, being a walk-in I paid cash for my visits. The treatment I received consisted of looking at white squares and being spun around in a chair. Again, none administered by a medical professional. When I ran out of cash, a form and pen were provided to me to take out a loan. At my last visit to MDBI I reported that I felt worse than before starting the "treatments". The young woman responded unassuredly "Sometimes you feel worse before you feel better?". Frustrated, I then asked when we were going to address my hearing issues to which she replied "oh, we don't do anything with hearing here." I was stunned.... I did not return. Finally after a couple months, I got in at BJC and got a new primary. I was on the verge of a stroke and had a blood clot that could have killed me. I have a blood disorder that I'm now going to Siteman for. It had not occurred to me that no one at MDBI took my blood pressure/vitals or anything like that. I reported my health situation and asked if there was room for any discretion in regards to expenses I'd accrued at MDBI (thousands). I was not contacted again and even had emails from an established address returned to me. In the years since, my review has evolved from "I'm confused and disappointed" to "This is a scam." At this point I heard from them again. They threatened me with further financial injury if I did not take down my review "immediately" and that this would be my first and only request before I was sued for legal fees.

I worked with only one audiologist over my series of visits. This is unlike going to physical therapy businesses or hospitals where you get passed along from one person to another as their availability dictates. No one tried to sell me any packages or services beyond the therapy my doctor prescribed. There are no memberships or anything like that. I liked how un-salesy this place seems. The machine and technology they use for assessment and therapy seem pretty good. I have a much better idea of what is going on w/ my ears and even my eyes now. The online portal where your video therapy instructions are and where you can message your therapist are easy to use. There was some confusion over billing. I suspect this was due to my insurance company falling short in accuracy. I told MDBI about it and their staff looked into it and had my account fixed up in no time. Oh. The first appointments are at 7 a.m.! Isn't that great? I had to take barely any PTO. Tell Casey hello and that I decided not to have surgery at this time after all!

I recently lost my job, and as a result, I have to rely on Medicaid, which thankfully I can receive, but it severely limits my dentistry options. when I called to schedule an appointment, the woman who answered was VERY rude and unprofessional to me. she interrupted ME when I was explaining my situation, and then turned around and had the audacity to tell me not to interrupt her, when she was explaining why they wouldn't bother with scheduling a diabetic with a gum infection. I have my bachelor degree, which I can almost guarantee she doesnt even come close to having. Not that it's worth much more in this comment other than to point out the sheer ignorance and disrespect that's just exuding from Comtrea-Arnold-Fox's staff. I didn't deserve to be talked-down-to by HER, or THEM, and simply because I called in to THAT clinic, on Medicaid, in need of help, and I 100 percent feel that that's exactly what just happened to me. I really feel bad for the people that have to live their entire lives on Medicaid 100 percent of the time, and deal with places and people like this. I mean if were being honest here, that Troglodyte just told me my life didnt matter seeing as how an infection in the gums could realistically kill a diabetic, and she couldn't see past her own nose to keep her unwarranted attitude in check, which i take very personally, hence this review.
