My room was the only one left with king bed. And it was the mobility room. Many bars in the toilet and generally a bigger toilet And decently clean I did notice some dirt on the side tables and I would advise them to check more closely on the side tables and the table in front of the mirror. My coffee machine was not working. And I informed them. But since I was checking out in two days it didnt matter to me. Free breakfast every morning from 6 am to 10 am. The spread is bigger than a usual Hampton Inn's There is a vatiety of toast, sometimes bagels, scones muffins, oatmeal and even cereal. There is even a card at the breakfast table to let u know that if you had dietary restrictions to let them know. Overall a wonderful experience.

The front desk check in area and our room were clean & very appealing. I loved the selection of tv shows and movies on our television. We had checked in for a late night stay & just wanted to relax before we traveled out early in the morning. Everything seemed ideal until I took a shower in the morning. I noticed there was human hair from other people in the front and back of my shower area. One was a long light brown hair in the front upper area of the shower stall. One was a short black hair on upper back of the shower wall. I was mortified that housekeeping didn't notice this immediately. It made me wonder if they cleaned the bathroom at all after the former guest before us left. Despite all the wonderful amenities, the unsanitary condition of our bathroom made me dock 2 stars from a 5 star rating. Figured it was worth it as it was getting dark and Beckley is 30 some miles away. The hotel is situated 3 miles from downtown Welsh on Hwy 16 (Stewart Street).It's a very quaint motel. Met the clerk at the motel (who met us at the office since no one is there 24/7) and checked in which was a very easy process. She was very personable and friendly. She informed they recently got a new mayor who is very ATV friendly....which hopefully will boost business. The room was very clean and loved that it included a refrigerator and microwave. The tiled bathroom floor and tiled entry area were pretty sticky and the carpet didn't look completely vacuumed. But overall the cleanliness was good. There isn't a coffee maker in the room but I did notice there is one in the lobby. But since no one is in the lobby 24/7 and it remains locked, I'm not sure how someone would access it. There is WIFI but it was pretty weak...assuming the equipment is in the office and my room was the farthest one away. Overall, it's a cute motel that's comfortable and has most of the necessities. It sure beats driving in the dark on some of these windy roads. Highly recommend!
