Luckily it was never busy when we walked to the park. This park is used more so for soccer games and practices. There is a nice jogging trail that circles the park, and I have used it several times. Overall a nice little park.

It looked ok at first glance from the parking lot, but as we go to the play structures we quickly realized the structures were not safe. Several areas on multiple structures were broken and could easily hurt a child. The entire play area needs to be shut down and completely updated. Also, there are. O trash cans close to the play structures so there is trash everywhere. Super disappointed.

Everything seemed easy after Ross Bridge. The long bridge or wooden cart path was interesting, almost like going on a baby roller coaster. At least the sounds of it. We ate at a couple RTJ restaurants. If I remember correctly, this is the only RTJ restaurant sprinkled cinnamon sugar on the sweet potato fries, giving it an extra oomph! There is a nice disc golf course and an actual dog park though its for members. Most just walk their dogs around the park. It could use an actual kids playground and some picnic tables. Also i think a lot of the trees are dead or dying. They should be cut down and new trees planted. A lot of people come walk here so its fine and adding more picnic tables and a playground comes with costs to maintain but i think it would be worth it. Most people call it the state hospital grounds or park but i think they should emphasize woodmere with a proper sign. People even ice skated here back in the day. Doesnt get cold long enough here to do that now but it could use more attractions to remember that past. A roller skating park would do.

You'll definitely have a great experience here if you like to have fun, you're social, and can laugh at yourself should you fall. Price: The price definitely depends on when you come. We came Friday night (didn't know it was college night), and paid $10/ea for entry and rental skates. Rental skates: These things get beat up, so don't expect them to complete your outfit. I think even Cinderella had better shoe wear as a chamber maid. Luckily, the kid who was passing them out understood that and let us swap them out a couple of times :) Skating: There are reeeeally good skaters here. However, even though they are, they're still really humble; they'll teach you if you want to be taught, too. Music: The music was kind of "trappy" in the beginning, but later in the night, the DJ started playing songs like "Roll Bounce" and "Set It Off". I still give the music 5/5! Would I recommend? Yup! Will I be back? Absolutely!
