Had my engine winterized in the fall and tuned in the spring. When I went to take it out there was no oil in the engine. Cannot think of much worse than that. read more

Their season runs from April 15 to October 15 so if you like late season stripers you're sadly out of luck! With that season, you're actually required to start paying for it by December of the preceding year so by the time the season starts you've already paid for 9 months. As I had moved away it wasn't feasible to keep my boat there so I sold it and removed it 18 June, or two months in. You would think that there'd be some refund but no, promised but never delivered. I even got an invoice for the April '22 season! When the forklift broke down and they were waiting for parts to repair for nearly 4 weeks (not their fault) I couldn't put my boat in for nearly a month and there was no compensation for that either. They'll nickel and dime you using $'000s. Good location but there are other marinas in Highlands that I'd use before Gateway! read more

Everyone there is great ,with one exception, Rose. I had my boat there and Todd and the guys are great. Their service is amazing the only problem is dealing with Rose and her condescending attitude.I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for Rose. read more

We've had our boat here since we bought it in 2008. They've always been a pleasure to deal with, took excellent care of out boat ( they always winterized and wrapped it for us) - we couldn't have higher praise for this family business! The only reason we're leaving is we've sold our boat. Bonus! They were the only marina in town that fared pretty well during Sandy! We'll miss you all! read more

I first went to Gateway 3 years ago after having a bad experience at another marina. I not only found their Yamaha products to be far superior but the costumer service I received was top notch. My purchase was relatively small, but Todd, the manager, treated me like a VIP. When I do decide to step-up and make a bigger purchase, Gateway has earned my business. I don't normally write reviews but when I have an experience this good, I have no problem strongly recommending Gateway Marina to anyone. read more

The worst experience I have ever had with anything. This company does not honor their promises and treats the customer like crap. We had agreed to rack our boat that we were about to purchase, a 2000 Sea Ray Sundancer 290. Todd had agreed to save us a rack and to let them know when it will be coming. They even sent us an agreement. We offered to put down a deposit and they said no need. We had said that the boat would be arriving mid to late June. The deal fell through and we purchased another boat, a smaller boat, a Regal Commodore 2860. I contacted the marina to let them know that our new boat will be arriving from FL on the 22nd, and was told by Rose that the marina can not accommodate a boat that size. A smaller boat than originally agreed upon? The boat is smaller than the Sea Ray in height, width, length, and weight. Rose was giving excuses on all 4 and the engines as well. I initially dealt with Tricia and Todd and they were delightful. But Rose is absolutely horrendous. They made a promise, shook hands, and then said sorry. The fact of the matter is that Rose's husband sold my rack to someone else without knowing that it was reserved for me. But she berated me like it was all my fault. I would've given them 0 stars if I could. Stay away! If this is the way they treat new business, then I wouldn't want to experience how they treat you once they have your money. read more

We are entering our third season with Gateway. The entire operation is a class act. We utilize all aspects of their full service marina....winter storage, spring commissioning, summer rack/in and out and winterizing. All we have to do is gas up and enjoy our time on the bay and rivers! read more
