Todd and his team run the best marina in the area. If you have Yamahas or just like to fish, Gateway Marina is the best!

I'll have to post this in other places! I was going to purchase a SeaFox 268 from this dealer at the AC boat show back in March. When I brought up prices from other SeaFox dealers, the owner promised I'd never get any SeaFox service from them if I didn't buy from them. I mentioned another boat pricing, which Dan interrupted me to again state I'd never get service from him, but that boat was another brand (Nauticstar) from another local NJ dealer. At that moment, I walked away and never looked back. The sales person, while accidentally showing me the 'cost' sheet instead of msrp and the VP of sales from SeaFox were both great. My wife and kids loved the SeaFox, but I couldn't bring myself to buy from someone who would think that a threat would motivate me to be their customer. Later that day I bought a Sea Hunt Ultra 265.

I was all ready to go with a 10 percent or even a 15 percent deposit on a 2019 CC Sea Fox. never heard any dealer mention this ever and had a few tell me it was BS to get more money out of me up front. guess he has to put food on the table. but so do i. farewell Sandy Hook Yacht sales.

When I asked to speak to a supervisor, all were away, and their staff was unable to help correct my issues. Frustrated by this, the situation became heated to say the least. Long story short, The following day one of the owners contacted me, and ensured me that he would correct everything, and make sure I was happy with my purchase. To say the least, they did everything they promised, and were extremely professional throughout the process. Thank you for the extra effort, and excellent Customer Experience.

The weekend prior to them picking it up, the motor went. Yes, a 2024 Yamaha f200 with 60 hrs on it went. It was filled with water. Anyway long story short, they had my boat for over a month, didn't take care of the issues that they were initially there for. And the motor took well over the 8hrs Craig Estelle, the service manager claimed it would take. it actually took over 10 days. When I get the boat back, it's all messed up. They destroyed 5 panels of sea deck, didn't do repairs, and my motor trim isn't working properly, or the gauge. To top it off Paul Gioe, the owner, blocks my emails. I sent all the managers an email demanding the repairs to be made. And Paul calls me and tells me " We are not working on your boat. You are no longer allowed to bring your boat here. We are not dealing with a Philadelphia wise guy." He also claimed the boat looked like that when they got it. And he has pictures. But he would not send me them. "I don't need to prove you anything." This is how they react when they mistreat customers property, and the customer wants it made right. Such a circus act over there. Just be careful. Yes this is my second review on the place, but I didn't take my own advice and go to Long Island or MD.

In the spring of 2015. I hired Lentze Marina to replace the exhaust risers and manifolds on my…read moreboat. Twin Chrylser 318 motors. The gaskets were installed upside down on both motors, one old gasket was not removed prior to installing the new gasket, one bolt was stripped and a spark plug was cracked. The spark plug that was cracked was right next to one of the leaks. This could have caused a fire or an explosion. After the work was done we test drove our boat. The motors were under-performing, below deck filled with exhaust fumes, our gas alarms below deck were screaming and our engine hatches were filled with exhaust. We could actually see the exhaust leaks coming from the engine. It is obvious that the motors were not run after such a major repair. This should have be done to verify the work. After discussing the matter with the marina (since that time) the marina said things that lead me to make the decision that they would never work on my boat again. So I (being an experienced mechanic) did the repair work myself. I hired them to save myself time and energy. I've asked the marina to reimburse me for the cost of their labor plus the cost of the gaskets. I've been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and have waited this long for them to do the right thing. They have refused. I told them I would go to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and review them online if they didn't reimburse me. Their attorney is now threatening to sue me if I do go the BBB or review them online. I have photos and copies of e-mails to show and prove everything. I have contacted the BBB and plan on taking them to court over this. It is my opinion that I would never let Lentze Marina work on my boat ever again. Plus, they won't reimburse a good customer (I was at their marina for 2 years. I paid cash on time for all my bills) for such an obvious, major mistake and they have threatened to sue me if I tell other people the truth. I'm writing this review so other people are cautious about how important work like this. The cracked spark plug and leaks could have caused a fire or explosion. The fumes leaking from the hatch and into the cabin could have made us sick or have even killed us.
