The congregation is very welcoming and very open to newcomers. This can be seen by the first few faces that a person meets at the church: their welcome table. It has all the neccities to make one feel welcome: information about the church; personal items such as masks, tissues and informational pamphlets; and most importantly, welcoming people--volunteers with the sole job of making people feel welcome by answering any questions a newcomer might ask. The elders there are also amazing as well. Especially the Pastor. Pastor Ben delivers very thought-provoking sermons coupled with compassion and prayer. The elders' hearts can also be seen by the various ways that Anchor Community Church invites its congregation to worship. First and most obvious: the worship team. The worship team consist of various members rotate leading and serving on stage. You can tell that they spend hours practicing so that they can deliver the best experience that really allows the congregation to worship God distraction free. Other ways that the Anchor Community Church invites its congregation to worship God is through its Community Groups. This is where I feel Anchor Community Church really shines. Through its Community Groups, I have found that I am able to worship God and have biblical fellowship that edifies and encourages one another by discussing the previous sermons and by studying the Bible together. I was discipled by the woman at this church and have learned a lot from attending Sunday School as well. There are many helping hands who care for my spiritual well-being here. There are multiple ministries and groups to be plugged into. There are also a lot of resources for new believers and believers who want to be involved and connected. Although this church treated me with open arms, at some point there was too much politics and stress between members at this generational church. There are Chinese, English, and Spanish services. English and Spanish services are upstairs. When I attended, they had a huge conflict between the English and Chinese congregations. There were a lot of politics at this church. Although I have since left the church, my faith and spiritual well-being took a hard hit from all those issues. Just know that this church predominantly Chinese speaking. Most people that attend the English services are high school - college age. I think most of them are children of the Chinese speaking congregants. The Spanish congregation is a separate congregation that rents out the church building. Just a quick note for those seeking an LGBTQ affirming church: This church is not affirming of LGBTQ relationships and was actively involved in the Proposition 8 campaign.

And their PA system is so bad I couldn't understand the homilies, While every church has a projector, they have decided to buy books which cost a lot of money for the church.
