Jon seems to think that yelling at women and harassing them is acceptable…read more His broker was one hour late because she forgot about my appointment. (I drove 2 hours from out of state). She knew nothing about the apartment and landlord. Before signing the lease Jon told me that the landlord was good about repairs and he was a client for 20 years. It turned out that the landlord refused to perform all repairs! I had to pay out of my own pocket. The oven did not work. The glass was separating from the rotting window frames allowing cold air to come in. The vent in the closet size bathroom with no window did not work, welcoming profuse MOLD growth. The built-in credenza reeked of old mold! Permeating the living room. I have been renting for 40 years and I have never had such a bad landlord! On top of it I caught him staring at me a few times through my windows while exiting the bathroom in a towel. I wrote a letter to JonCar Realty with a list of 13 needed repairs. He called me up, yelled at me and told me that I HAD to move out in two months! And I had signed a one year lease. What he did to me was illegal! On the day of my move Jon Miller, his real name, phoned me and screamed at me repeatedly that it was against the law to move on the last day of the month! (The landlord had approved it and Jon's name was not on the lease as the property management agent.) He kept screaming at me to finish my move within 2 hours because he was to inspect the property for the landlord and he was finishing his work at five. In summary, Jon Miller, the proprietor of JonCar Realty, took my money and refused to reimburse me for poor service, refused to help me find a better apartment, was verbally abusive, and harassed me.

Avoid this realty office. They encouraged me to rent an apartment that was larger than I needed…read moreand came with a $550 realtor fee that I had to pay them. And they would only accept bank checks that had to be sent by express, certified mail (more fees I had to pay). They told me there was a rush because they had other people interested in the place, but the other people had children and they did not want to rent the apartment to people with children. I only found out later (after signing the lease) that the apartment was owned by the realtor's family. So they are just funneling money from one family member to the other. The whole thing seemed sketchy to me. Since there are many other realtors in the area, I would definitely recommend staying away from this realty office.

Every part of the building has its own wonderful detail. I loved the windows, doors and mill work.

The following is an exchange I had with presumably the owner/founder of this enterprise - Scott…read moreTillett. It exemplifies the degradation in society at all levels, companies, businesses, corporations, media, culture. What used to be dignified civil society has become a sewer mass of immorality and degradation where the debased and degraded is lauded as the accepted cultural norm. Yes the facilities of this enterprise are just fine - new, "modern" in all its expected respects, but I was speaking of something far greater than all of that. Do not simply accept and go along with what this present culture has become; because it's now the world around you does not mean you cannot stand up and speak out against it. Invariably you'll get the immature and unprofessional response below - in my day businesses would have apologized, perhaps tried to explain in a more conciliatory matter to the prospective patron that sometimes communiques can become more casual when people are feeling more comfortable (although the regular outgoing company newsletter should not and never be) and to apologize for the laxity. In this case, not only was there no such apology, the result is for the person speaking to be ostensibly "removed" from the sphere of discussion, "cancelled" if you will out of the recipient's domain; obviously it was just your particular sensibility that was offended, no real violation of cultural norms had occurred so we don't need to even take you seriously or offer you the civilized respect of a discussion about it. My point is, the more you don't speak out and allow garbage, the more garbage you'll find around you, and it is all around us now, no matter how new and shiny the surface. ---------------------------------------------- Me: Hello could you please refrain from including curse words or ostensibly covered up curse words in your newsletters, e.g., "Perfect for folks who have a short-term project and just need a private space to get $h!t done." Maybe just one generation ago, that would be unheard of in a professional communication sent out by a seemingly professional organization, but the worst forms of degradation are happening in every from of media, corporations and advertising; this is just another symptom and evidence. I really don't want to be bombarded with curse words first thing in the morning when I open up a company information newsletter. Thank you. Owner: Apologies to have offended you, Anita. We will remove you from our email list. Best, Scott

I had mice coming in from the improper insulation of the stove, cabinets, and kitchen sink. They only send maintenance over once a month so I had to wait until they were able to send someone out. When they did send someone they only put down traps and did not address the holes where the mice were coming in from. The heating/cooling elements were pretty but were junk and weren't effective often. The people in their office were slow to reply to any kind of issue and were often dismissive. Upon moving out I was given pictures of random things to justify why they weren't returning my full deposit and was given the run around for 2 months. They failed to itemize what repairs had to be made to justify taking $150 out of my deposit. I received my apartment with a dirty washing machine, stove, and cabinets, and have video of the mice running through my living room. I had numerous issues with this place which is why I only stayed one year. People should avoid this company at all cost!
