Die Gaststätte mag auf den ersten Blick wie ein gewöhnlicher Treffpunkt wirken, allerdings wird sie durch die Ausrichtung rechtsextremer ("brauner") Veranstaltungen zu einem Ort, den ich nicht guten Gewissens empfehlen kann. Die Atmosphäre wirkt dadurch belastet, und man bekommt den Eindruck, dass hier ein Klima der Ausgrenzung und Intoleranz geduldet oder sogar gefördert wird. Gastronomiebetriebe tragen Verantwortung für das Umfeld, das sie schaffen. Wenn Räume für ideologische Veranstaltungen bereitgestellt werden, die für viele Menschen Angst, Ausgrenzung oder Bedrohung bedeuten, wirft das unweigerlich ein schlechtes Licht auf das gesamte Haus. Für Gäste, die Wert auf ein respektvolles, weltoffenes Miteinander legen, ist dieser Ort daher kaum geeignet. Popped in for lunch. Needed to climb a few steep steps and then sat down. Quaint place. No smoking. I was the only tourist. Oldest fraulein in attendance. But while slow, she was accurate. Brought me tea and schnitzel as requested. Including a change from the standard menu :) Food was excellent. Nothing fancy. But, well executed. Real gravy. This place is really great. It is more authentic and jus as good if not better than any of the other German places in town, plus the vibe is really local and the proprietor is really awesome. Also, the 4 euro designation is just wrong. Most things on the menu are under 10 euros. It is family owned and operated, with at least two if not three generations on hand every night. This leads to great service (with a bit of character too) but it is also surprisingly quick. A great find. I ate here four times during a weeklong trip to Eberbach. read more

This place is incredible. I've eaten here for two nights and I'm going back for a third. The staff is great. The food is phenomenal. This is the most authentic German place of all time. I love the guy with the mustache, he is the best. If you want beer that makes you feel great the next morning and schnitzel that makes you dream of having more more schnitzel, I would highly recommend this place. read more
