We found this place based on Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! We made a reservation but we were late due to going to the wrong restaurant. Make sure to go to Gengenbach! Tobi graciously held our reservation. This was exactly what we needed after a busy day in Strasbourg. It was a beautiful and quiet setting where we could sit and hear each other talk. The menu was not in English but Tobi came out and explained each menu item in great detail. They were very accommodating and offered to serve our meal family style so we could share but we said no because we each wanted our own item but then we ended up wanting to taste everyone else's so we should have done it. The menu had something for everyone but it was not overwhelming. I ordered the traditional German wiener schnitzel. After all I'm in Germany. It was fantastic. My husband and son ordered steaks and both said they were the most tender and flavorful they have had. My daughter ordered the spicy Korean fried chicken because you know we are in Germany . I think she would have eaten 3 of the vegetables sides if we would have ordered it. Everything was served with wonderful sauces. I wish we had saved room for desert. Wow! Incredible place to eat near Gengenbach! Loved every dish. The pics speak for themselves. Contemporary and traditional Baden Wittenberg fare that is so delicious and well presented. I highly recommend this place when in the Gengenbach area. read more
