The practice needs better communication! A couple of situations have occurred. Today, I called to…read moresee would it be possible to have an earlier appt with Dr. I gave my name, birthday I was asked for address & phone number. Then she asked for insurance. Gave her first & then secondary insurances. I was then asked for policy number of insurance. The dr had done a procedure in January and I had called the office before with all my information. I asked her do you not have that information in front of you because I have given it to you before. Yes, I do but I have to asked. IS US Digestive Health so afraid of not getting PAID!!!!! YOUR STAFF IS ABSOLUTELY INCOMPETENT & RUDE!! I was on hold for 20 min. She was not going to move forward & check if I could possibly have an appointment before April 13th. I will be looking for a new gastroenterologist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FYI - this is the US DIGESTIVE HEALTH IN NEWARK, DELAWARE.

The procedure was fine. Billing is horrible. They are rude and have no patience. I have never met a…read moremore entitled business in my life. They do not care about the customers experience. They need a competitor in the area to put them out of business. They do not send anything and just assume you know how much to pay, where to pay, and when. When you call, they tell you they did send out notices and must have been lost in the mail. This happened 2 times to me now for different procedures in the last 3 years. Both times, the same exact thing. First notice to pay was from a creditor they sent my account to, again, without any notice to me. BE AWARE!!! Look up other reviews. It's not just me. HORRIBLE!

Once again this place has given me reason to write a review. I was seen in the ER and the…read morefollowing day had a tele visit ( which was previously scheduled before the ER visit) The doctor wants me to get a few tests done and said I would receive a call the next day to schedule. I did not hear from them so at 4:32 I called them. I was rudely told they are extremely busy and someone will call when they have the time. Hmm. One week later and still no call. I guess I will have to try and find another doctor or go back to the ER if I continue to have problems with my gall bladder. Another failure with this practice.

I've had UC for a decade now and have had many dealings with both of these practices separately and…read morenow together since the merge. Overall if you have GI problems and live in Lancaster there's no other big practice with major hospital affiliation that can provide the services they can. I've had some good doctors over the years Dr Allegreti being my personal favorite. Dr Morgan is young and very approachable and tends to care for alot of female patients. Dr Rosenburg can be dry and lacking personality but is the go to for his extensive knowledge of UC. With the merge some things have changed for the worst.....it's no longer an easy process to get a nurse on the phone or get a message to the office staff. In fact it takes forever, 20 minutes or so as of my last three calls, to reach anyone live. The phone system leaves alot to be desired. There's menu after menu, que after que, and at times you will feel like it's not working properly. Hang in there, eventually someone live will answer! On the plus side they have a few locations and if your doctor calls for you will get you in somewhere quickier, although it might not be your location of choice. if you have an urgent situation and need to see a doctor and call on your own - good luck! You're likely to get booked two months out regardless of the circumstance. At RGAL they were prompt with sending out reminders for bloodwork and follow up. Lancaster GI not so much, and as for the merge - that's to be determined. It's always best to be hands on with your healthcare and keep your own calendars especially if you have a chronic condition. Lancaster GI used to offer me medication samples and savings cards - but only if I asked. If you are on a maintenance medication it pays to ask. I once had a pharmaceutical card pay for my medication co pays for two years! That alone saved me thousands. Also if you have UC like myself do inquire about the new generic medication that recently came out for this condition. it's saved me a ton of money vs name brand. Again you must ask or it won't be offered. For female patients you now have the option of being seen exclusively in the womans & babies office. Not sure what the advantage is, especially since the main office is next door, but it is a smaller, more intimate setting. Moral of story with this and any medical practice these days is you'll have to take more control of your health. Be vigilant. Be organized. Keep records. Ask questions. Make phone calls. Don't be docile and sit back and let them totally mange your health. Healthcare is a business that needs to make a profit.
