A while back I did some blood work due to my primary care doc as part of my routine physical which…read morefound some abnormalities in my liver. My doctor recommended I go to a specialist and thus I found myself at Gastro Health. When it rains, it pours. Its been about a year of health struggles for my family and I certainly didn't need another... but as it is said... "thems the breaks". A bunch more tests found that I had fatty liver, with some more tests, it was found it was in the early stages and thus reversible but it would require life style changes. I needed to add some supplements, which is pretty easy actually... but i needed to cut out alcohol and also i needed to lose weight. Have I do this? Yes. I went from a social drinker to barely one. I have been working out again on my stationary like crazy, a process i began a bit before I came to Gastro Health but accelerated after. I've gone from a size 40 to a 34 and I have lost a lot of weight. We will see if I have improved my liver situation when I get back to doctors office in about 4-5 months.
