I love being surrounded by them, I can feel their energy. I love the shade they provide and the protection and habitat they furnish for the critters. This all comes with the responsibility of maintaining our wonderful canopy by keeping our trees healthy (and limbs from falling on our or our neighbor's house!). My first experience with a tree service was with an 'I'm in your area, I'll do yours for a discount' company. They promptly cracked my paved driveway in too many places to repair with their large cherry picker (which I apparently agreed might happen). Next I went with a highly recommended company who gave me an expert assessment, price, then sent their limb-hackers out and did exactly what I told them not to do . . . they also made ruts in my lawn with slightly smaller equipment. After doing some investigation I decided to call a professional arborist who loves trees as much as I do (even more as it turns out!). After watching Angela Wilson's short bio on YouTube, I was sold - I would use her service. As it turns out her and her husband Tim (the 'Spiderman' of the company) solved all of my problems, even some I didn't know I had (they saved two of my palms from starving to death!). They are true professionals (what Gainesville needs!), who give back to the community through their involvement locally in the education of the health of the canopy that makes this area so special. Angela is like a 'tree sage,' after spending and hour with her, I learned more about trees than I did spending the first 18 years of my life on a farm!

If I could give this company zero stars, I would…read more We hired this company to remove a front yard tree, grind the stump, and remove half of a damaged tree on our property. We were quoted $1800, which included stump grinding and debris removal. We had also requested the tree wood chips for "mulch." What we received was incomplete, extremely sloppy and unprofessional. They failed to completely grind the stump from the front yard tree, leaving large, visible portions above the soil. Their crew unnecessarily drove a heavy truck up over our curb and sidewalk and across our lawn, tearing up and damaging the grass beyond repair. Additionally, rather than leave wood chips from the wood of the trees removed as agreed, they dumped a huge pile of unprocessed debris consisting of yard waste, branches and leaves on our driveway. When we asked them to finish the stump grinding, repair the lawn damage they caused, and remove the debris they left behind, they refused unless we paid them an additional several hundred dollars. When we declined to pay for their mistakes, the owner became hostile and unnecessarily aggressive. He then threatened to take us to court if we didn't pay him instead of correcting the incomplete work and damage and despite never providing an invoice/bill. And if all the above was not already enough, one of their employees then began harassing me on Facebook. When this was brought to the owner's awareness, which included a photo of the person, he initially denied (twice) knowing them, however when the owner was informed that the person referenced specifics about the job, he then admitted that the person was in fact an SAS Employee. SAS was provided multiple opportunities to complete the job they agreed to do, however they repeatedly refused. We now have an unfinished stump in our front yard, irreparable damage to our lawn, and a massive debris pile to deal with on our own. No homeowner should have to deal with intimidation and threats simply for asking a company to complete the job they were hired and agreed to do. As per their reviews, we are also not the first people they have done this to. Based on the extremely subpar workmanship, the lack of accountability, the refusal to correct their own mistakes, and the unnecessary hostile, aggressive and threatening communication, I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

On initial visit, I was impressed by Anthony's array of knowledge and he walked me through which trees he thought would fail and why those needed to be removed. He spent time telling me about pine trees that I found very helpful. He's professional, friendly, and trustworthy. I found his entire team equally professional. They all take pride in their work. You can tell they've been working together for a while. There were about 8 guys working and nearly all of them introduced themselves. Mike, was the go to man in the bucket truck. My job was quite large so they needed to haul in a crane which Anthony operated without any damage! Bubba, RJ and Anthony's son and the rest of the team operated with precision. I was truly impressed. They left my yard in impeccable shape and they even blew off the roof and driveway! This is truly a remarkable team. Their prices were more than fair, especially compared to the competition. I even ended up getting two more trees down since they were already mid-job! I felt valued as a customer and I will definitely be using them again.
