The service was very friendly, the morning buffet breakfast was vast by most standards, the waterfront location was incredibly scenic and set up perfectly for a lakeside resort. Definitely see if you can get a room that overlooks the lake. The downtown area is right across the road and where you have access to restaurants, shopping and historical sites. This hotel also had many bikes for rent which is a perfect way to tour this town and scenic lakeside roads. The only thing to note is that our beds had very firm mattresses, however they were comfortable even though I have a softer mattress at home. I highly recommend staying here. The hotel is an old monastery with centuries of history and lore. Terrific breakfast buffet and very efficient staff. While the low end rooms are small, they can often be booked for 100 euros which is a bargain. Parking is reasonable and much appreciated. Swear I saw a few spirits one night in a dark hallway but might have been all the grappa! Would stay again in a heartbeat!

It is rated 5 stars but the price is comparable to 4 or 3.5 stars in US so it was a good value. The room was spacious, elegant, relatively new, has ocean view. Hotel offers bike rental. I got a regular bike and my wife got an electric bike. We went around Konstanz. In town, there were lots of sidewalk cafes and shops with old town / European feel. The weather was perfect in the afternoon (end of March). On way to/from town, you ride by the sea. It would've been nice to stay a day more. Buffet breakfast in an elegant setting with picturesque ocean views - cappuccino and made-to-order omelette are included.

It s a typical and traditional German Black Forest style and design (Schwarzwald in German, it s the mountain. A lots of wood, old furniture from the area, but nicely arranged, it s not heavy. It a all in one, restaurant & bar, hotel and spa (see the pictures). The spa is brand new with a fitness room, sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi, in spa bar... The food was very good, fine and tasty, like the fois gras soup with chanterelle mushroom and pork meat. The service was nice we were very well looked after. There is a nice ambiance around the bar. A nice taking care, fresh air weekend ? Go there.
