I tried to make a reservation for a double room for one night. I was told on the phone that the…read moreroom was available and there would be no need to book it online. Making the reservation on the phone would be sufficient, I should just send a mail as well, which I did. The hotel staff did not get back to me on that day (a Saturday) and there was also no written booking confirmation on the following day. So I mailed again to make to sure they had not missed my mail. On Monday morning I finally received a mail from the hotel stating in one short sentence that no accomodation would be available for that night. Not a word of excuse or anything. No explanation was given when I asked for a reason. So in case you really want to spend your money on a hotel who treats their potential guests this way I would book well in advance and not rely on their statements on the telephone.

We had a room on the 4th (top) floor - be advised that there is no elevator, but there is thoughtfully placed artwork along the stairway walls for a brief rest if needed. Our room was clean, bright, well-appointed with a small private terrace, a view of the park, and large windows that open to catch a delightful cross-breeze. Free WiFi is provided. We did not have a car, so I cannot speak to parking accommodations. Breakfast is generous with delicious rolls and breads, a superb array of jams/marmalades, well-chosen cheese and meat selections, boiled eggs, yogurt, two juices, an espresso/coffe/chocolate machine, and fresh fruit. It is served in the lobby area at charming tables with pink cloths, dainty dishes, and small flowers in vases - lovely! Our hosts were quite friendly and helpful and took their care of us very seriously. We would highly recommend the Hotel Eden for your stay in Bonn.

Wonderful Service I stayed here while doing some training…read moreat Spangdahlem Air Base. The reservation was maintained by the company who hired me, and the Biehl's were very kind and helpful. I inquired ahead of time about bringing my 20-lb dog and was told it would be no problem. I had to lock him up in his crate if I wanted the room cleaned, otherwise he was able to be free in my room (he's totally house trained). The restaurant served very delicious food and the dining room was waited on by Mr. Biehl himself. The beds are comfy, the shower is a nice size, the kitchen is readily equipped, the balconies have a nice view of the hills and the train station, and the location is nice and quiet. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Biehl's! UPDATE: I recently stayed again and had to share more information. As with last time, the Biehl's allowed me to bring my dog with me. However, this time I had to leave the hotel much earlier in the day (5:40 am) and my dog ended up barking way too much and disturbing other guests (I was terribly embarrassed). The Biehl's were incredibly kind in offering to help me problem-solve the situation, as I was about ready to simply drive the 1.5 hours one way to take the dog back home. The hotel has a small, separate building that has been unused this season, and they offered to let my dog stay in there while I'm away during the day - it was safe for the dog, calm and quiet for the other guests, and a HUGE relief for me! I cannot express my gratitude adequately enough! I would recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone, as I have had only positive experiences here. Many thanks to Dirk and Nicole!!!
