Every time I have gone I get seated within minutes of signing in and the dentist is in to see me quickly. The staff is wonderful. Teresa makes me feel like we are old friends from high school. She asks me how I have been and makes me feel like I am hanging out with friends instead of at the dentist office. Maria is the hygienist and I have never had a better cleaning in my life. She is gentle and makes sure I am comfortable. She explains any treatment the dentist recommends. And I never feel pushed into something I don't need. Dr. Schneider is so sweet and I always feel she has my best interest in mind. She is mindful of cost and while always explaining all the options she still understands if I choose one over another. When I had an implant she was helpful in explaining costs and walked me through the options to finance the treatment that I needed. I never felt pressured. The interaction between Teresa and the Dr were great during my treatment. They work well as a team. They spent the whole time they were working on me talking about their weekends and husbands. Now they refuse to see me, I make appointments to see if they'll right their wrongs but every single time they either send me a text or call to tell me something unexpectedly happened to cancel the appointment. American Dental Associates has many office locations. I was sent to this one by my daughters…read moreprimary dentist because she had an abscess on her front tooth and it was determined that she needed a root canal. The primary care office sent the prior authorization which was initially denied by my insurance, stating the primary dentist should do the root canal and not a specialist. The primary dentist does not do root canals and the cycle of prior authorization and appeals continued for about 6 weeks. Within that time frame someone filed a grievance on my behalf for the first denial, which was eventually denied again under the original prior authorization number. After many phone calls to my insurance on my end, the root canal was finally approved and scheduled...then cancelled by the office manager who insisted that they had to follow the grievance letter, and also informed me that my daughters account was flagged due to the many phone calls I made to the insurance. I got on a three way phone call with the insurance and the office manager and I swear it was like two divorced parents bickering back and forth. During this conversation the insurance person stated that it was the office that continued to send prior authorizations incorrectly instead of making an appeal like they we instructed to do by the insurance and that is why the account was flagged. How unprofessional of an office manager to put that on the parent. This office manager continued to cancel my appointment and insisted the insurance send another approval letter with a more current date, but the insurance insisted that the approval letter was in good standing which the office manager was not accepting and basically refused to treat my daughter. Never have I ever gone through such a cluster f**k ...and the whole time my daughter was suffering with this tooth. I had no choice but to take her somewhere else and pay out of pocket, and she didn't need a specialist to it either. I found a general dentist that did an amazing job. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this place...they don't care about patients..only money.

And even though I need to see a specialist, I got more answers than I have in the last 5 years. Dr. Melissa's bedside manner is top tier -- she took her time, didn't rush me, didn't minimize my pain, she was kind and empathetic and, most importantly, she was transparent in telling me that my implant needed a surgeon. I was strung along for years at my last dentist and in one appointment, she explained why I was in constant pain and she referred me to someone who can help me.
