First time at Gary's. On the whole I liked it. Pizza was solid--fresh dough, sauce that had a good flavor, and nice amount of cheese. Also had wings (2 flavors). They were ok. We ordered 5 subs from a fundraiser. It was my first time to this neighborhood store in about a decade. I will be returning in the future. At first glance I was a bit skeptical. Not much of a selection. The items they did have were great! A variety of air/deep fryer finger foods. We bought hot cheese balls and mini tacos to go with our subs. All the food was tasty! We can't wait to try other items. They had pepperoni bread like I have never seen before (not your typical loaf). Pretzel buns for sandwiches were nice and fresh. This spot is a hidden gem. You'd think it was just a place to stop in and get snacks or pop. That is the farthest from the truth! Their cold and hot in house made subs are fantastic. Forget about Subway and I hate to say it, Sheetz too. These are the OG subs. Haven't tried their pizza yet, but their ranch fries are great. 10/10 stop in or call ahead. We have had wings and pizza here several times and we're always happy For some reason this time the chicken wings were undercooked and had little or no flavoring. The pizza crust was tough and the pizza itself did not taste good. We went in and spoke with the owner, very nicely, to explain and he just didn't seem to care. He offerd no explanation or reimbursement. What happened to the customer being right? We will not be eating any more of Gary's food. read more

Ordered subs. The gal was rude telling me that what I was ordering was already pre-made. I told her I was ordering subs without lettuce and tomato. Said my boys cannot stand lettuce or tomato. Picked up the subs, got home and someone just removed about 95% of lettuce and tomato by hand. They left some of it still on the sandwich. Got pizza, wings, and pepperoni balls. Tried one wing, and one bite of the pizza and that was more than enough. Not good at all. Stay away from this place unless you want pepperoni balls. Wings barely had any sauce on them at all and the pizza had a bad after taste. read more

I'm not sure if new management has taken over but we went to get food last night and the little blonde girl working behind the counter was so unprofessional and rude. told my wife on the phone she didn't "have time" to read her off the list of deep fried veggies. I love going to Gary's for my lunch meat, I call in the morning and it's cut and ready when I get there..the prices are amazing also. Everyone is always so friendly when I go also. Also there wings are amazing, my 11 year old son LOVES them. Love supporting local businesses that have good food, great prices and friendly staff. read more

I would never recommend this place to anyone.... older lady/owner?? deli clerk was always so extremely rude every time I went there..... stands idle for a long time while the customer waits to be ordered on and she never smiles, is mad about her life or something. Says so busy all the time but store is always empty and they never answer phone to call ahead. Deli prices good but subs not at all... the rolls are light and flaky instead of Italian like and have no flavor and can't get full on it because not enough substance. Booooooo On customer service.... don't waste your money. If they can't handle the business then they should not advertise, enough said!!!!! read more

Love Gary's! My husband and I lived in Erie for 4 years while in college. We come back to Erie to visit pretty often. We always enjoyed picking up food from Gary's and taking it to the lake for a picnic. We were pretty disappointed to see that they don't do chicken salad croissants and Italian pasta salad anymore, as those were always our favorites foods from there. Can't comment on any of their pizza, wings, etc.. but I'm sure if they're anything like the deli foods they're delicious! We would love for them to bring back more of their deli options! read more

Gary's has fantastic food. Their wings are some of the best around (and affordable!) and their subs are great too. There are different specials every day of the week, and everything is sure to please. If you just want chips, a lotto ticket and some lunch meat too, they also have that. Their prices are very competitive, their staff is always accommodating, and their food is great. If you haven't tried them yet, make it a point to do so! read more
