My mom got my daughter 3 one on one lessons with Garret for her birthday in April and we have been anxiously awaiting the opening of his location in order to schedule her first lesson. First off, the studio is super cute and the construction/renovations were well worth the wait. Garret is very friendly and worked patiently and knowledgeably with my 13 year old. She was absolutely thrilled after her hour lesson was up and went on and on about everything she learned. We both are very much looking forward to her next lesson in a couple days here! read more

We were so delighted with the charming, workman-like studio of Garret Pendergrass Pottery. Garret led us through our "wheel" lesson with humor and education and made it a great experience. In our second lesson, we glazed our pieces and can't wait to go back and pick them up before Christmas. The whole experience was fun1 We will definitely be back and recommend it highly as a wonderful "girls night out" or date night. read more

I took a class here a few weeks ago and loved it! Garret is a great teacher and easy to understand. He takes time to help you if you have questions or if something is a little more difficult than you thought it would be. The classes fly by and you'll make cups, bowls, and even a plate if you're interested in it during the beginners class. Don't be afraid to experiment and have fun! I recommend him to anyone who is interested in pottery at any level. read more

I highly recommend Garret Pendergrass pottery! My nephew and I took a private lesson with him and had a wonderful time. Garret took the time to explain pottery and broke the process into easy to understand and follow steps. He gave us freedom to try what he taught us with gentle reminders and review to ensure we had a beautiful finished product. Garett was easy to talk to and communicate with throughout the whole process and took a genuine interest in making sure we were comfortable. My nephew and I will treasure the pottery we made and my nephew is already talking about wanting to try another class. Garret is a great teacher. He has so much fun doing pottery himself that his enthusiasm is infectious. He has a very easy and straightforward teaching style and is very relaxed so when you are learning pottery you don't feel like your doing it wrong. He's very helpful and patient. He also likes to produce work and teach you how to do that. I wanted a set of pottery-made plates for my kitchen and he convinced me I could make my own. We made 1 to 2 plates per session until I had as many as I wanted. So if you have a project you want to do or some gifts you want to make for family or friends Garret will guide your project to beautiful completion. read more

Garret Pendergrass Pottery offers pottery lessons for small groups and individuals of all ages and experience levels. Located inside Firehouse Pottery & Gallery in Fort Worth, you get the opportunity to create your own pottery pieces. Beginners start immediately on the wheel making bowls and tumblers. Intermediate students can hone their skills while advance students can tackle those intimidating projects. All students get the opportunity to glaze their work from food, dishwasher, and microwave safe glazes that can stand up to daily use. From start to finish, you will take home a unique creation all made by you. Learning doesn't have to be boring! In a relaxed setting, your mind, hands, and funny bone will connect with the potter's wheel. You will see immediate results, gain confidence, and have a great time with your pottery lessons. Established in 2013.

Garret Pendergrass has been teaching pottery since 2004 and received a Masters of Fine Arts in ceramics in 2007. Since then it has been his passion to infect others with the clay bug. In the summer of 2013, Garret Pendergrass Pottery open a teaching studio inside Firehouse Gallery in Fort Worth, TX where you can purchase quality handmade pottery and ceramic art.
