She didn't pressure me to go with her, made me feel comfortable and said she would be able to fit me in just in time for my wedding. My first fitting was such a positive experience! She is incredibly bright and insanely talented. She is friendly and personable. When I went to the second fitting to pick up my dress, I was truly stunned. I have never used the word "snatched" before, but she made me look "snatched". I never wanted to take my gown off. She transformed it into a work of art. Mood - Something that caught my eye…read more This day as we went to visit the Charcoal ovens, there was a huge Bronze Buffalo sitting atop a pole and of course my curious nature struck. The sign that points left or right even had the mentioning of live Buffalo. So I was extremely intrigued at this point. We decided to drive down the graded drive path to the trading post. There were so many antique cars, and antique farm equipment that was all def left out to pasture. We even saw a make shift cemetery all adorned with boots. Unsure if it was a real cemetery or just for show. It was something neat to look at. It is now classified as a museum. However everything is for sale if you are able to get the owners. It is ran by a husband and wife team both up in age. When we went it was currently closed. At one point there was a functioning diner and area where you could buy pellets to go out back and feed the buffalo as you were able to purchase your very own as it was a buffalo ranch as well. Currently land is for sale in 5 acre increments there. I would recommend - pricing is free. Be careful as you drive thru as there may be broken pieces of rubbish laying around in the walkpaths or driveways. Location is Ely Nevada off of Cave Valley Road - ample parking

Yes, the proprietor, a good natured yokel and sometime town political operator/gadfly, is "the Greek" in question. (There is no Greek restaurant here.) He can and will order in items, if he can find them. This may be the last place within 300 miles to find electronics parts by brick-and-mortar perusal. For these facts alone, this outfit deserves 3 stars. This shop is vintage old Nevadana, as are the delightful cast of characters who wander in and out. Drop in, buy some headphones, or even a small tube TV set.

This Radio Shack in Ely Nevada is Amazing! I was just on a camping trip with friends and our…read moresatellite radio receiver developed a short in the 12volt power cord. We were in Great Basin Park with little other radio stations without our satellite radio receiver. I told the guys we might be in luck? I've bought a few items from a Radio Shack store in Ely a little over an hour away. The fellas said "Radio Shack is out of business." I told them not in Ely! Let's see if we can call to see if they have the cable we need? We found a place on Mt. Wheeler that afternoon where there was a bit of cell phone service and I called The Greek Radio Shack in Ely. George (The Greek) answered and I explained what we needed. He checked and said he had a replacement cord. We explained we would be traveling from camp over an hour away. George said he had to close the store to go to a city meeting in a bit, but he would come back to the store and reopen for us in the evening after the meeting so we could get the cord we needed. We left Camp and headed to Ely to had a Good Chinese dinner. Then went to the RadioShack and waited for George. He arrived in the evening just like he said. He opened the store for us and had the part we needed. I was surprised to find out how inexpensive it was considering its a namebrand item. While we were in the store my buddies were amazed at all the items he had including a showcase of really interesting Antique Radios on display! A couple of the fellas said they were going to bring their families on a trip to Ely to show them all the great items in the store and then ride the train. The people in Ely are Very Fortunate to have this Radio Shack store. Thank You George! You made are trip to Ely Well Worth It!
