Small, but not too small, the Brest airport is actually quite pleasant (who thought I would say…read morethat about an airport?). You can park your car, drop your luggage if needed, go up the elevator, then through security (waiting lines are rare) and board your plane literally within minutes and over a max. 150 meters' distance. Love it!
The only real drawback is that it's not well linked with public transportation, a bad French habit. There's a new streetcar line in the city but it serves neither the railway station nor the airport: stupid.
The airport's main building is big enough to host all the services you need, from a gift shop to rental car counters to travel agents etc... AND the network of non-stop destinations is not bad: most large French cities + London and Barcelona on regular flights and (mostly South European) holidays destinations on charter flights. Several daily flights from and to both Paris airports allow decent connections to the whole world... no excuses not to go and visit Brittany!
I just wished this airport was in Quimper and not in Brest...
