Gardenstown is a charming little village. From the top you get nice views of the town and the sea.
Drive down the winding road to the harbour. A bigger carpark is on the eastern end of town. A very small one at the other end of the seawall (which is an adventure to drive).
The homes and houses on the seawall are known as "Seatown". Very much worth a look, very pretty. The harbour is a functioning harbour with some nice views. Especially at sunset. There's some fish sold around the harbour if you get here in the morning.
If you missed it, then worry not: There's a chippy shop (actually a food truck) right at the harbour. Serving wonderful Fish'n'chips and fried seafood until sundown. Super-fresh, freshly prepared by order and good-priced.
A good number of picnic tables right down here as well with some harbour views.
It's not really a busy town and in the evening you'll find mostly locals around the harbour area. A very nice place to see and to be. We enjoyed it. read more
