One of the most wonderful things this great group does is put bronze sculptures and monuments all around Tulsa and most eye-catching--along River Parks on Riverside Dr. While visiting Tulsa, I was captivated by this public art. The annual NatureWorks Art Show and Sale helps to fund much of their work. At these Art Shows, supporters can browse paintings, sculptures and wooden carvings by the top wildlife, western and landscape artists across the United States. 30% of each art sale goes toward supporting the development and conservation of Oklahoma's natural habitats, as well as the creatures who live in and depend upon those habitats. What a wonderful group! I think the sculptures along the River Parks are amazing and so is NatureWorks!

I took this as a sign and finally checked it out. I'm so glad I did! It was a slow day so I took my time to walk all around the store while asking questions. Turns out it's an artist co-op nonprofit. Several artists came together to start it in 2020 to showcase unique creations and offer one-of-a-kind, handmade and specialty items from 40+ local artists and artisan makers. The name was inspired by Leon Russell's "Hummingbird" song, which is appropriate since the Church Studio is a block away. You can find a wide array of items, from clothing and jewelry, to glasswork, mosaics, pottery, photographs, woodwork, and more. I found a really cute fall mini frame, bead earrings, and a sun catcher, all one of a kind, beautiful, and affordable. If you like a particular artist, they have all their cards at the register. They accept special requests and commissions, and are also able to ship. They display artwork from Tulsa Public School students and have special art events, and workshops. Follow them on Facebook for updates!

Great place to host events, ample spots for vendors to set up, great conference room space. Parking can be a bit tricky but the parking garage felt safe and secure. One side of the room, tickets were being handled while in the middle, you get your drinks & then you move over to the other side of the place, that's where all of the food vendors were at (all local & delicious). In the middle of it all, along with a really big staircase, there was a DJ. Upstairs (during Big Bite) there was an exhibition with all kind of art displays & art installations. There was a great view from up top, especially while I was checking out Tulsa Tough. An all day event that ended with a concert featuring Sports, a band that I listen to heavy. That was in 2023, fast forward to now, there was an exhibition I visited that was hosted by BZRO & it consisted of his denim work & the history of denim. There was even an element of where you can interact with a machine that does the weaving. It was interesting learning the process of making pants & how denim was centuries ago compared to present time.

Their staff has been in the building since 2021. They recently had a display honoring James Garner, an actor from Norman. Blake Shelton has been helping them raise money needed to finish the exhibit design, construction and installation. I hope they're able to reach their goal and I look forward to seeing it in its completion.
