The Studio Cockatoo (a Brisbane designer) works in the window drew me in and a treasure trove of Australian designers like Emily Green, Kip & Co, Third Draw Down and Aesop (just to name a few) greeted me inside. The store itself is small and the owners make the most of every nook and cranny filling it with bursts of colour, textures and budget-friendly pieces for all ages from the little whippersnappers to self-gifts to adorn your walls.

We just couldn't decide what scent to buy I went to unscrew a lid to smell some products as there were no testers and ( I think it was the owner) or staff member. Told me we weren't allowed to open the products. Was quite rude and my fiancé asked if there was any testers to smell the products the worker went to check and said no they had none. That put us off as he was quite abrupt and how are customers meant to buy the products when we can't smell or test them? Quite stupid and we left straight after. We will just purchase from a Aesop stand.

This is an amazing little comics and games shop in the heart of Nambour. As the owner put it when I…read morewalked in, Nambour is one of the last places you'd expect to find a shop like this. The owner is an extremely friendly man who works as a part time writer and letterer; part of his shop is dedicated to selling art supplies for budding comics artists. The shop also actively supports the Australian independent comics community by selling a number of locally produced titles. Friday Night Magic is a regular event here, as are Thursday night board games nights. For players and parents alike there is a small coffee service available as well as cold drinks. The coffee is also quite good. Overall the shop is open, friendly, well stocked and neat, something that's always a pleasure to see in shops that are notorious for being cluttered and dark. Nambour has an amazing little store in this place that's a delightful addition to their downtown district.
