After only 9 months and less than 5,000 km, the windshield fluid stopped working. Last week I went to an independent garage to change my winter tires for summer tires. I told the mechanic about the windshield fluid problem. He opened the hood and showed me that the hose on the driver's side was disconnected. In order to reconnect it, he needed to remove some parts of the motor, which would cost me money. So I called the garage at Nissan Sherbrooke, thinking they would reconnect the hose under warranty. They were not able to confirm the guarantee over the phone and said that I had to bring the car to their garage to have it assessed. They told me that I would have to pay for the diagnosis of the problem if they felt that it was not under warranty.
How complicated is it to confirm that reconnecting a hose is under warranty?
These guys are useless. Nissan products are the cheapest of the cheapest. I highly recommend shopping for another brand and staying clear of Nissan Sherbrooke.
