In fact, I would now consider it my go-to place. Over the years, I have developed a proprietary Döner rating system based on the following categories: -Bread -Meat -Sauce -Salat ...and a more general "synergy" category that tries to evaluate the overall experience of that particular Döner while also serving as a catch-all for other things like price, friendliness, value, etc. My Döner, which is owned by a wonderful Turkish-German named Mezlüt (a baker by training), earns high marks for all of these: -Bread: 4 (hot, crispy, and pretty traditional) -Meat: 5 (plentiful, tasty, and not fatty) -Sauce: 5 (the ever-elusive "Cocktailsoße") -Salat: 5 (fresh) -Synergy: 5 (all elements blended perfectly together from start to finish) When in Berlin, one naturally has the choice of quite literally hundreds of Döner stands, and I am rarely disappointed no matter where I go. But the quality of My Döner--and Mezlüt's friendliness and commitment to his craft (he enjoys his own Döner while there, after all)--not to mention the massive Döner you get here for just 3€, is my new favorite and definitely worth your attention. It doesn't have the unique veggies of Mustafa's or the hype of some other ones, but the fact is that there is no gimmick here. I've never had these cut of fries in Germany and very few places in the States. More of a peeled, corn chip shape, than a traditional fry. Great cook on them and I ate all of them! (Burp). This one man show had such unique quirks. Mixtape's menu was rap themed. The burger combos were songs from classic rap songs. West coast burgers were 100% beef. East coast burgers are 90% beef and 10% lamb. Burgers are served on a toasted sesame bagel. The food is served on a granite slab. Condiments are Costco-sized on a metal trolley and you get your own. One guy runs the show- he is the cashier, cook. You self serve and bus your plate after. Be prepared to wait. Remember, one guy is doing everything! I loved my burger with the crunchy bacon and fried egg. Everyone enjoyed their burger as well. The only thing I didn't love was that the burger was cooked well done. I wasn't really given a choice for medium or medium rare. Other than that, it was a great inexpensive place for dinner.

The only small issue was the service was kind of crappy. I hear that's the way it is in Germany, but I kind of expect a bit more. Also the door to the back smoking room was open, so every once in awhile you could smell smoke wafting past our table. That's not cool either.
