They have a mixed seafood platter for only ten euro, which easily fed me and my fiance with no problem and was made to order, fresh and on-the-spot. Absolutely delicious! So for cheap eats when in Leiden, they are worth the walk. And, they also have a very busy stand at the Saturday morning market and they are worth the wait in line!

I used this trip as my first try at cooking octopus, and a lovely woman at the counter made sure I had a vague idea of what I was doing with it before she let me go. Upon our return she remembered us and asked how the preparation had gone! I showed a picture of the dish and she acted impressed which made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Five stars forever. Plus if they have some to spare, you get a delicious fried kippering snack as you wait to pay. Great great great , extra great, best.
