Best seafood store in Leiden. Fresh products, great selection and their secret weapon is their lunches, which you can order and take away or grab an outdoor table, if the weather is nice. They have a mixed seafood platter for only ten euro, which easily fed me and my fiance with no problem and was made to order, fresh and on-the-spot. Absolutely delicious! So for cheap eats when in Leiden, they are worth the walk. And, they also have a very busy stand at the Saturday morning market and they are worth the wait in line! read more

My absolute favorite place in Leiden!! The seafood is absolutely fresh, the prepared meals are to die for, BUT THE STAFF IS PHENOMENAL!!! Sooooo friendly and helpful. I used this trip as my first try at cooking octopus, and a lovely woman at the counter made sure I had a vague idea of what I was doing with it before she let me go. Upon our return she remembered us and asked how the preparation had gone! I showed a picture of the dish and she acted impressed which made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Five stars forever.
