Conforama had exactly what we wanted. A rollaway bed with a decent mattress. The transaction was quick and efficient once we were able to (finally) connect with a sales associate. He arranged to have it delivered to the loading bay, and then we simply paid and picked up around the back. The only reason why I am taking a star off is that there were a couple of associates standing around talking, and did not seem willing to help us. However, the person who did end up selling is the mattress was very helpful and polite. Their prices are very reasonable and they have a good selection of items.

This is a general outdoor supplies store that has everything you could need: sheds, wheelbarrows,…read morelawn mowers and trimmers, garden supplies, fencing, etc. It is also great for farm animal supplies and I come here for all of my sheep needs, including feed, feeding containers, and fencing supplies. Espace has a large selection at very good prices. There is also a very large parking lot, which is appreciated when bringing a large car or van. My only complaint is that sometimes they are understaffed and there are long lines, particularly on weekends. They also often have issues at the register like an item not being coded or improperly entered, which then requires someone to come and override the transaction (this has happened to me nearly every time I have come in there). The store is otherwise very good.

E. LeClerc is a large chain of grocery stores in France, which also has home goods, appliances,…read moretoys, garden items, etc. It is somewhat like Target in the U.S. This is also the name of the shopping center in Saint-Gaudens/Estancarbon, where there is a large selection of other stores including: LeClerc parapharmacie, LeClerc travel, a separate electronics and book store, clothing stores, hair salons, chocolate shop, two eateries (one causal buffet, the other a sit down restaurant), sneaker shop, barber shop, flower shop, etc. The collection of stores makes shopping very convenient. I do most of my food and other shopping here. I wish that there was a post office at this location as there is in Pau. I also wish that there were better clothes shopping options for women.

Bricomarché at Estancarbon is a well stocked DIY store that operates on a franchise basis. I have…read morebeen there many times and been satisfied. But earlier this year I purchased a rivet gun there which did not work. Twice I went back to the store and showed the broken rivets to a number of staff including the manager. Despite the rivet gun jamming they said there was nothing wrong with it and refused any refund. I complained to the Head Office but they just referred me back to the store.
