Gami Chicken. Yes. Mhm. Oui.
Typically, when someone thinks of fried chicken, they naturally picture an image that somewhat resembles KFC -- oily and fatty. However, when you have your first Gami experience you immediately recognise your mistakes. There is a place where chicken is served tender, moist and mouthwatering, and without the obvious artery-clogging characteristics. And when you bite into the pristine piece of poultry, you wonder where has this chicken been all your life. Well, it hasn't been far. Actually, it's right on the map.
I will admit one thing, however, Gami isn't cheap. As you'll see from the website a whole original style fried chicken will set you back $30 or so, but I really do feel like it's worth the dollar -- and I don't say that often. You get the whole chicken, two side sauces, a small portion of coleslaw and some picked radish. It's more than enough for the average person, I feel, but to the some who may have a larger appetite the cost to quantity ratio may be a deal breaker.
For me, as a fried chicken lover, I have become a believer of Gami. Regardless of the borderline expensive price, I find it's tastes and its service Heckin' Good. And if you happen to be just like me and you also love chicken this may just be another heaven on earth moment for you. read more
