This afternoon, I entered a Gamestop in Oxford, MS. I went to purchase a Steam Link. It was advertised as previously for sale for $49.99 with an official price sticker. An updated, lower price sticker displayed the current price "Now $34.99." I showed the lower price to the Gamestop clerk and requested to purchase the product for the advertised price. He pulled the stock, and he told me that he could only sell it to me for the $49.99 price, because that was the price in the computer system. I politely stated that I would only purchase the item for the advertised price, not a higher price. He said he would not sell it to me for the advertised price. Also, he mentioned that a button in the system would allow him to charge more than $49.99, but not less, and certainly not the displayed price. This is deceptive retail practice. I will never shop here again, because I don't appreciate bait and switch tactics.
I'll revise my review if the business ever makes this right. read more
