First time ever at this GameStop. I usually just walk in, look, and leave, but I needed to buy SOMETHING. I had money burning a hole in my wallet. Ended up leaving with a game I'll never play. I have like four from 2016 that are still in the plastic. What really made my visit was Charles! What a sweetheart! He took me over to the 3DS game shelves and chatted with me about new games and how everyone has basically moved over to Switch. Gave me some good recommendations on games and stuff. Most GameStop employees are engaging, but he was extra friendly and had all the information. I truly appreciated him. I wasn't planning on renewing my membership, but he was so nice. I just had to. If I'm ever in the Lynchburg area again, I'm going to GameStop just to see him. Great customer service is the way to go and he's doing it just right! Thank you! read more

The young man who waited on me was BEYOND rude. I am a 57-year-old woman and he appeared to be 18-20. He barked at me for not having a phone number and I told him I just wanted to get out of there as I was in a hurry. He exclaimed that he didn't like my attitude as I continued to laugh at his antics. I tossed my $20 bill as I continued to smile although I wanted to cry. This demon boy was not ruining my evening. After he took the money he slammed the cash box and walked off calling me a BITCH. Six other customers who witnessed it all dropped their items and walked out with me. I know there is a tape of ALL of this interaction. I have NEVER been spoken to in all of my years by ANYONE in the public as this child did me. All I said was I wanted to get out of here. My family includes 17 children under the age of 18 and their parents as well as myself will not be back to this store. We spend thousands of dollars on the gaming industry yearly. How can someone so disrespectful be hired to deal with the public anywhere let alone a store children frequent with their parents? Shame on YOU!!! read more

I went in today to look for a game that the website said they had. My so went to ask if they had it after we looked for about 10 minutes only to be told that they probably didn't have. He didn't even bother to look on the computer. He then said that game edition didn't even come out for the Xbox 360 even though we know for sure it did. Also the other gentleman behind the counter was extremely rude to the customers in general yelling about where the line stated. There are better ways to go about telling people about a line instead of yelling and being a general jerk about it. read more

Went in to get a copy of a used game. The gentleman behind the counter researched the game and found a used copy for me. I was very happy with my service up to this point. He then proceeded to card me for the game because it has a mature rating. I casually mentioned that I'm 37 years old and though I was slightly irritated, that was going to be the end of it. Where I became annoyed was when the gentleman next to him made a comment about being under 40 so get used to being carded. I did not need for him to chime in on the conversation. He then proceeded to look at me and shake his head throughout the rest of the transaction. Is there some video game police that are checking to make sure people under 40 are carded for 17+ video games? I know that the ABC will send in agents for alcohol but let's not compare buying video games to the same policies of alcohol. read more
