Gamestop - It was 14.06 - Videos & Video Game Rental Near Me - Lake Jackson, Texas

Do Not Shop here. My son bought an item from the GameStop in Lake Jackson, TX. The item did not work out of the box. My wife attempted to return the item minutes later and was told that they would not refund the money because it had been opened. The manager offered an exchange but none of the same item on the shelf worked. GameStop corporate was contacted and they would not refund my 11 year old son's money. Customer service has gone down hill for sure especially the management on duty 9/18 at around 6pm. Can't remember her name but she was definitely rude. Went in to return an item. (Didn't realize you can't return unopened clearance items) Got all the way up to putting my card in when the manager decided she didn't want to finish the return. No big deal. I stated that I didn't realize it was a problem and didn't see anywhere where it specifically said that this couldn't be done and was fine taking the item and heading out. I guess this set her off because she proceeds to make snarky remarks and even flips her computer around to show where it says no clearance returns. Just rude in general especially for someone in management. If it was that big of a problem then why start the process in the first place. She also wanted to make it very clear that if I made any sort of complaint it would be bad for her business. That seems like a very unprofessional thing to say. Sad to see what used to be a great established managed so poorly. read more

Great customer service! Very knowledgeable with hardware and gaming systems. Knows about upcoming game releases and gave advice regarding the Steam Machine. Really like how they took the time to come to us instead of staying behind the counter like at some places. read more
