I took baths and watched tv every night. The Tempurpedic cloud bed was insanely comfortable. Being pet- friendly was a wonderful surprise. I needed a place to stay while my house is under repair so needed to bring my cat. He is very clean, well behaved and we travel with disposable litter boxes and mats so when we leave, there was no trace of an animal. The tile flooring and carpet are also stain proof for easy clean up if necessary. I got a deal on a one the travel broker sites and believe it might have been such a good deal because I made reservations to check in middle of night but I don't know. Staff is lovely.

I'm writing this review specifically for Shade Hotel Manhattan Beach location…read more My girlfriend and I have been coming here for happy hour for several years, and she has also stayed at the hotel in the past and spent a significant amount of money there over time. Under the former management team, including the previous GM and food & beverage manager, we were always treated warmly and professionally. They were friendly, welcoming, and always made us feel appreciated as guests. We genuinely enjoyed spending time there. Unfortunately, since the management change, the atmosphere feels completely different. The experience now feels cold and unwelcoming compared to before. What really disappointed us was the valet situation. The valet attendants we knew in the past always followed the stated policy: $10 validated parking for a few hours if you were dining or having drinks, and $25 if staying longer. This time, we stayed about 4 1/2 hours, and after waiting for the car, my girlfriend was suddenly charged $40 -- which is closer to an overnight valet rate. What made it worse was that when she arrived, the valet attendant -- who knows her and recognized her -- never explained the pricing upfront. He simply said, "Don't worry, I'll take care of you." Had we been informed ahead of time, we would have made a different decision. The whole experience left us with a very disappointing feeling, especially considering how loyal we've been to this hotel over the years. I also placed a call to the current GM and still have not received a response. Sadly, because of how this was handled, we no longer feel comfortable returning.

While this won't change anytime soon, I am horrified and disgusted by this terrible Marriott and advise people to reconsider staying here. During my mom's cancer battle, I was tasked with transporting my family who do not speak English from LA to North Carolina for her final days. One time, there was a miscommunication during booking that was easily fixable. Despite my family's loyalty to not just the brand but this location, the callous night manager was aggressively mean. During the darkest time of my family's life, Marriott chose to add to our hardships rather than provide a quiet respite from it all. Marriott won't suffer consequences. This location won't suffer consequences. Heck, I bet that night manager won't suffer any consequences. But my story still needs to be shared. To the terrible excuse for a human being night manager: I hope it made you feel just a little bit better to make my family's life that much harder during its darkest moments.

Claudia, at the front desk, was a pleasure and she gave outstanding customer service. I checked in around 10:30AM upon arrival and gladly paid the $75 extra cost to get into my room before 4PM. For my particular situation, it was well worth it. FYI, it's $75 precheck-in fee before 12PM and $40 precheck-in fee after 12PM at the time that I'm writing this review. Wish it were free, but it's not. Overall, my room was impeccable and the bathroom was exactly what I would expect from any hotel: clean and stocked They guys (security?) at the front downstairs were on it when it came to removing any stray homeless people sneaking into the hotel and nothing went unnoticed with them. I literally watched them escort a guy out who had just entered less than five minutes earlier. Traveling solo, I felt very safe and secure staying at this Sheraton property. The nightly rate and convenient location to LAX worked for me. No complaints here.

I ordered an espresso and was served it in a large regular mug -- not an espresso cup. When I asked about it, I was casually told they "couldn't find the espresso cups," which honestly felt unprofessional and careless. What made it worse was being charged $14 for it. For that price, presentation and basic standards should not be optional. It's a small detail, but it reflects a lack of attention to quality and guest experience. Overall, not what I expected from a hotel at this level.

The parking lot is pretty huge and getting here from any direction by freeway or if you live local, you can take the transit here. For the most part, this facility is clean all around. Because it's such a popular venue, they keep this place prettty clean, inside and out. The Kia Forum is, however, a bit on the dated side. Not that it's bad, but when you're inside, you will see that the structure of the place does show its vintage style and age. The coliseum itself goes super high - if you get seats on the third-level, be prepared to climb some stairs! There are a lot of steps at this venue - even to the restrooms. The restrooms are about two long flight of stairs, that leads to the restrooms that are basically in the basement. Again, it's clean and maintained, but there are lots of steps. The sound system at my last visit and with previous visits have been great. You will get great sound anywhere in this venue. One of the best, in my opinion! Staff are also friendly here if you have any questions or need to find something. My only gripe with this place are the parking fees. I paid $55 for parking, but it will vary from $25-$55 for general parking, depending on the type of event. It's very steep! There's parking around the neighborhood, but unless you know Inglewood very well, it can get sketchy outside of the venue. Other than that, love Kia Forum!

I can't remember when I was here previous to our visit the other day. It was probably 20 years ago,…read moreso it's definitely gotten a remodel since then. SoFi is across the street, so the whole area can be crowded during events. It can be difficult to get there from OC or SD, because it's not far from LAX. You may need to go the backways to avoid traffic. Parking is now one of the highest in LA for events. Even prepaying, it was $50! SoFi is even worse ,and so is Dodger Stadium. At least the Greek is only $40 for normal parking. We were in the 100s, and the seats had very little room in between the rows. There was a premium section near us with better seats and more room, but you will pay even more for those seats. Sound was fine. It was weird that you had to go downstairs for the restrooms, luckily there is one set of restrooms with handicap access on the entrance level. We ate before we came, so we didn't have to buy food there. A personal pizza was $19, and a soda was $8.50. Yikes. We only come her for shows where the artist isn't playing anywhere else in SoCal. I would rather drive to Orange County, Riverside, Pomona, or Palm Desert to go to a show, over LA proper.
